GolfSmith is the worst online store I've ever experienced. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM GOLFSMITH. They told me 7-10 days, a month later the wrong order came, they told me they had to chanrge my cc a second time to process the correct order and then credit me back when the wrong order was delivered to them. So, charge me twice for an order I never received. 'Customer service' was anything but, they couldn't do anything, didn't care and wasn't trained to handle even simple questions. I will never buy anything from them again.

Worst online buying experience I have EVER had. Order was shipped without 2 items. Called customer service, they shipped one item, late, and promised the other was coming.
After a month, no item. Called customer service, again. This time, they were sold out of the item. Demanded the money back, and they promised to send it back, albeit on a gift card. Argued with them for a half an hour and they wouldnt budge, so I accepted that. One month later and....you guessed it, no gift card. This company is disorganized beyond belief. They have lied to me twice on teh phone and have no clue what is going on. They are taking money for things they do not have to sell. This company simply should not be in business. DO NOT USE THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT IMMEDIATELY. |

Golf Smith still sucks! A customer of mine called and asked for a quick repair on two clubs that also needed re-gripping. Placed order w/Golf Smith and waited. Order was delayed a few days. Once it arrived I opened the box and the wrong grips were inside. Needed Golf Pride DD2 in blue, but received UST brand, not even close to matching. Better golfers do not want to look like bums at the Club with mismatched equipment. I called and they had no answer or grips. Sold out, couldn't bother to call or email, but grabbed any old grip from another bin and threw it in a box. Too lazy to even notify about out of stock. I couldn't finish clubs before he left for Florida so now I've lost a good customer and had to order grips from GolfWorks and eat the repair. GolfSmith customer service on this occassion Sucked!!

Golfsmith is not the company it used to be. They have gone from being one of the top parts suppliers with great service to being one of the worst. I have built a lot of clubs using their parts but now parts sit on back order for months with no expected ship date. You call customer service and as far as I can tell, they just lie to you because they give you an updated ship date that comes without any shipment. My online order status never changes. And these are for some of their most common parts that they should have stocked adequately. I will need to find a different supplier.

Worst online shopping experience EVER. DO NOT ORDER from them. Had my order cancelled twice. Original order was for a birthday present for my Dad. Got a different story everytime I called. Order cancelled twices, they emailed once, didn't even bother to email the second time. Last cust serv I talked to acted like he didn't care at all. Now 2 months later - still no clubs.

I have perservered with Golfsmith over 6 or 7 orders, covering a period of about a year. Almost without exception, every single order was late being shipped. Worst part is, you never really know. Sometimes you're informed. Sometimes you're not. Sometimes you're informed of a certain thing, but then that turns out not to be true.
It's VERY frustrating. The people seem nice and their website looks inviting, but the underlying system (and especially the computer department, apparently) is ponderous and porous. I'm currently awaiting my last order (promised next day shipping, now five days later and not a single communication from them . . . i've called every day and spent an average of 30 minutes on the phone each time). I won't be back. I'm a VERY patient consumer (living in Alaska does that to you), but these guys just don't have their stuff together. |

Worst experience I have had online. Buyer Beware as items are no longer available or out of stock. They send part of the order and you never know when the rest will show up. They do not provide order acknowledgements. Customer Service is akin to Larry, Curly and Moe as you will get different answers depending upon who answers the line. Oh did I say you will be on terminal hold? Go elsewhere as Golfsmith is not worth the effort.

When it comes to customer service, GolfSmith has now become the worst organization to deal with....No orders updated that are correct. Customer service is making up any and all excuses on the new system the are changing too. This is a great way to prevent any and all customers coming back. Hopefully they get the problems resolved or they are looking at looooosing a whole bunch of money....

I have been doing business with GolfSmith for years with good customer service until about 3 years ago when everything headed south. I am a club builder and when I order parts I NEED them NOW for a customer. They are simply horrible when it comes to customer service and shipping in a timely manner. I recently gave up on an order and cancelled it. They shipped it anyway some 6weeks later and charged my credit card. I then had to go through customer service and you can guess the end results from the above letters.

I ordered a gift card for my brother for Christmas. I paid $11.99 for two-day shipping. The card arrived seven days later by regular U.S. Mail, but Golfsmith still charged me $11.99 for S+H. THREE times a customer service rep assured me that I would be credited the difference in shipping. To this day, that hasn't happened. Instead, Golfsmith placed two additional charges of $62.95 on my credit card. Eventually, those charges were reversed - they said something about new software - but the main problem was never resolved. I never spent less than 20 minutes waiting to speak to a customer service rep, whether I called in the morning, mid-morning, noon, mid-afternoon or the end of the day. The message was always the same: "We are experiencing an unusually high call volume." With customer service like theirs, I'm not surprised. That was the first and last time I"ll ever buy anything from Golfsmith.

Horrible service. I returned an optishot and was told my credit card would be refunded. They have had my package for 2 weeks and still nothing. When I talk with customer service I get a different story every time. They told me they lost my email,the returns dept is running behind,it went to warranty fept instead of refund dept,gave new email nothing. I even emailed customer service were it says wait 2 business days for a response,it's been about 8 days now. I was going to buy wedges with my credit and I spend a lot of moony on golf equipment every year. Never agin with them. I'm done. I will be filing a complaint with the bbb if I don't get a solution soon. Funny how their system having a problem can take money right away but not refund in a timely manner. Fed up!!!

Terrible experience. Before Christmas, I ordered a golf shirt for my husband with an expected ship date of Dec 21. I kept waiting for shipping confirmation and checking the order status on their website. I contacted them today and was told, the item I purchased was not only out of stock, but also discontinued. Disgusted with their lack of communication, I canceled my order. I just checked their website and the item is still listed for sale with no mention of out of stock or discontinued. Disgusted with the site.

Customer service? I ordered 11/28 and no word of delay, not even an email. It was to be shipped to my Mom's for delivery to my brother for Christmas so at this date it is too late to replace. I can't access the order status, it just comes up blank. Customer service is closed on the weekend and the auto-reply states that they are having issues with technology "upgrades".
Want it for Christmas? Maybe for 2012 if you order now. |

Have purchased many times from Golf Smith on their internet site with no issues. For three weeks I have called the customer service line 800-813-6897 and e-mailed several times concerning missing items in a shipment. They are yet to return e-mails and each time I have called at different days and times I wait on hold over an hour wait time on the help line before it disconnects. The message says they have a high volume of calls and wait time will be more than 10 minutes. I went to their local store and was told they cannot be involved with internet sales. Their is NO way of contacting them if there is a problem. They do not have any other phone numbers or contact information.

Horrible experience with GolfSmith.com. Placed order 2 weeks ago. There was no confirmation of order. Had no way to check order status online. Called customer service to check status; had to wait for 25 min to speak to someone. They told me that my order will be shipped from one of its stores and told me that I should expect it this weekend. Still no status updat, no shipping tracking number. Called again today after waiting for 30 min, and they told me that the club that I ordered is no longer available. Really disappointed. This is my first time I shopped at GolfSmith.com. I will NOT buy from them again.

Golfsmith probably just lost another customer. I placed orders over 3 weeks ago and recieved bit and pieces of my order. They said they were having trouble with their online software...why are they still taking orders then? I was also told that I probably wouldnt get any tracking numbers when they do finaly send the items. So now its just waiting game. I will give them another week before I cancel my order. But either way, i probably will go to another online retailer for any golf needs. Im very disappointed with the service. (and its not like you get a deal on thier prices either) All I expect is my item to be shipped in a timely matter, as they expect to be paid in the same fashion.

I ordered a Nike Wedge on sale only because I found and additional $10 off coupon. When I opened it, the wedge only had the sticker on the face and this thing had been hit numerous times in a store because it had ball marks on the sticker. I knew something was wrong even before because I've ordered the same Nike wedge in a different loft from another golf shop and it came in a Nike plastic bag and the face and grip were both factory sealed in plastic.
If you are going to sell me something thats been hit in a store, make it know on the site ahead a time so people know what to expect. I've never had this happen with TGW, GlobalGolf and Rockbottom Golf. Everything new is factory sealed like it left the manufacturer. I will never shop at Golfsmith again!! |

Worst experience ever!! I ordered a used club and after a week it didn't arrive. I contacted Golfsmith's customer service who informed me they were out of the club even though it was relisted under a different item number at a higher price. The first guy I spoke with was not helpful, but the supervisor was friendly and helped me resolve the situation. Even so, I waited a week for the club to ship and another week for it to arrive. Basically, the whole thing was a three week ordeal for something that should have been a simple process. Never again will I deal with Golfsmith!

I have been dealing with Golfsmith since they started business. They used to be great for breadth of items and service. I first noticed degrading service last year and this year it has fallen off the table. Communication is non existent and order delivery awful.The last order was paid 16 days before I received it and shipping was $30 for 40 grips. I have now returned as a regular customer of Golfworks who respond with great service. I understand Golfsmith was purchased by an investment fund. All I can say is those fellows have thrown their money down a rathole with their destruction of what once was a very good little company.

Half of my order arrived promptly. After giving an additional two weeks for my entire order to arrive I called golfsmith. The first call I waited on hold for 25 minutes before I just had to hang up. I called back a few days later and after waiting 29 minutes on the phone finally spoke to a person. Then I was informed that one item was no longer available. A call or email would of been nice as I was waiting for an item to arrive that was never coming. As for the other item I'm still waiting. If you want to see what kind of service golfsmith offers just call the "customer service" line or more accurately the "customer no service line." Operators are apparently incompetent and understaffed.

Ordered a Pre-owned driver at a horrendously low price. The emailed me confirmation and stated that it would ship on the 20th (5 days away). The 20th came and went and no update. I emailed customer service and was told that that item is no longer available. I asked why and they stated it was supposed to have come from a local store and that they sold it.
Basically it was like winning something on Ebay and finding out that they had it posted on Craigslist and since someone local was willing to stop by and pay cash, why not sell it to them. The guy I was emailing was worse than useless. Didnt seem to care even one Iota about the issue and once I pointed out how bad the whole deal was, I never heard back from him at all. I have ordered from Golfsmith before and never had a problem. Actually if it wasnt for this one time, I would have highly recommended them. By the way, 2 days after he told me there was none available, they had it reposted on thier website. |

I recently bought a $400 dollar iron set from golfsmith. I was pleased that the shipment came in quickly (only about 2-3 days). The clubs appeared new, but had no plastic covers on the face which was strange. I took the clubs to the range and decided they were not for me. I sent in them back to return them. I took golfsmith about a week to refund me for the return. I was pleased to get all my money back despite putting a few scratches on the clubs. Communication with golfsmith customer service was good for me. Overall, I would defenitly shop here again. I dont know why there are so many negative reviews. PROS: Since there are so many locations, fast shipments (Unless backordered). Good experience returning item. Cheap prices. Easily was able to get ahold of customer service
CON: iron set did not come with plastic covers although appeared new. Took a week once item arrived to golfsmith to process return. |

I understand what the earlier reviews went through. I only wish i had seen these reviews before i tried to buy from golfsmith. I placed an order over a week ago and checked periodically to see when it would be shipped. After no action after that week i decided to call them. The lady i spoke with informed me that they no longer had the item that i had ordered. DONT YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE KNOWN THAT BEFORE I PLACED AN ORDER!!! This company is not professional at all. The least they could do is email or call you to let you know that the item is out of stock, instead they let you sit there and wonder where your product is. I would highly recommend not doing business with Golfsmith.

the golfsmith price match policy is a joke. They don't match amazon although their policy is posted on Amazon.com. In fact they say their price is comparable anywhere on the internet. Is Amazon the biggest retailer on the internet now not on the internet????
Then they say the company sonocaddie is not an authorized retailer when Golfsmith is an authorized retailer of Sonocaddie. Please if integrity means anything to you do not buy from Golfsmith. I would pay more before buying from that company again. |

They screwd up my christmas shipping and I was a gift short. Both the in store manager and corperate costumer care blamed eachother and offered no compensation. Sold it to me just to make a sale. Poor effort on an expensive item. Did not seem like they cared, usually drop a lot of money and like there selection but they flat out lied to me. Nobaody would even take the blame, they have lost my future buisness, i with i could return there gift cards for cash or a decent box of toliet paper, doesn't even have to be quilted.

My experience with GolfSmith Online Store was terrible. I ordered 2 clubs one new and one used because the store was sold out of the new club. I received the one new club within 2 days but was not notified that they no longer had the used club. This is Christmas and your store failed to notify me, your store could have easily sent me an email message telling me that the club was no longer available but now I'm in a situation where I don't have time to look for another club online to get here by Christmas! GolfSmith thank you for nothing! I am so disappointed in your customer service and lack of concern for my problem you caused.....your online service was not a bit interested in helping me or even suggesting what can be done, nor was he even apologetic for your failure to notify me that you could only partial ship my Christmas present to my son. Thank you for not caring....this is the last order placed at your store.

Tried 2x to order a travel bag from golfsmith. both times failed. Rec'd a NLA (no longer available) after the first order. Called their customer service. They re-ordered another bag after confirming that it was available. 2 days later i got a NLA on the 2nd order. Called them again. they said they would research and call me back. never did. emailed them, complained on their "customer satisf" site and still never heard back. Terrible, terrible online store.
I think the good reviews are phonies from employees. 2 weeks of wasted time trying to get a present in time from Christmas. |

What is happening with Golfsmith? I have never experienced this kind of service in ten years. My order was taken and acknowledged expedictiously, but the delivery leaves something to be desired. I placed the order on September 20 and have received two packages of 9 gram hosel weights out of an order totalling over seven hundred dollars. I have received emails informing me that items have been shipped (September 23) but I have not yet received them. This is not acceptable. I also ordered a few items from a competitor and received the total order in five days. Is Golfsmith in some kind of finanacial trouble? Should I be looking for another supplier? I have been informed that the Canadian operation has been closed. My customer is getting upset. Can you expedite my order?

Unbelievable ~ Ordered a tennis racquet stringer and some strings. After two weeks they emailed me that the stringer was no longer available. After another two weeks dealing with customer service they finally agreed to get the newer model from the manufacturer. It was another two weeks before they removed the discontinued item from their web page.
Yesterday I called to find out where my strings were. I was informed that they were no longer available and was asked "do you want me to release the hold on your credit card?" Today I received an email offering me 10% my next purchase even though my original purchase was made with a 15% off coupon. I don't think I'll be using the 10% off coupon any time soon. |
