I ordered and paid for a santa suit and it was delivered in 2 days. Discovered the coat was ripped and the pants were too small in length! I PAID UPS CHARGES to return merchandise asking for a replacement of damaged goods (coat) and correct size of pantsand reimbursement for UPS charges. They responded by telling me I must place a new order ( and pay for it ) and they will refund the amount I paid plus UPS charges. They refused to exchange the goods I paid for (UPS charges included) and now I'm looking at a debt for UPS of $14.77 plus the suit cost of $80.46! STAY AWAY FROM COSTUME DISCOUNTERS! THEY ARE A RIPOFF!

This company is totally unreliable! Don't use this company!!
I ordered a very popular Angry Birds costume for my son in September. When I hadn't received it as they'd said, I called and the CSR promised it was in and would ship on 10/3. When it still didn't arrive, I called and they gave me a 10/20 ship date. Now I ger a call that they've cancelled order because they don't have item. Now it's too late to get another one and my son is crushed. This company and their rude customer service people are a disgrace! |

Overall good shopping experience. Too bad I cannot say the same about returns. I return a costume in July via FedEx and I have yet to receive a refund. I've emailed Costume Discounters countless times on separate occassions and have yet to receive a response. I've called customer service two times and I've been told that a manager will call me back only to receive no response.

The website says "same day shipping" - it took 5 days before they shipped the items, even though the website said all items were in stock. It then took another 6 days before I received the items. When I called customer service they told me that the website was wrong. This appears to be false advertising.

I have recently place an order with your company and when I received my order I had an issue with size and when I called your customer service line on the phone I was told I would have to pay for the help of having the order place as an exchange...what? And on top of that I have to pay shipping to have it returned and then pay for a new order and wait to get a credit? I am very disappointed with your company and it's policies? purchase a lot of costumes with my friends for different events and was going to suggest your company however now I will no longer purchase from you and am so disappointed I will keep the shoes I ordered however I am no longer interested in buying from costume discounters...I would rather pay a little more and get treated with respect and receive assistance when needed...in this time of economic hardship I would think you would take the extra step but I guess not.

Browing through the online was fast and easy. I love when the pages open up quickly (which they did.)
One minor concern is that I placed two orders. The first order was delivered in 3 days, which was suprisingly fast to me. When I placed the second order, for the same item, I checked the 'Delivery Date Calculator' which stated 3 days. I expected 3 days. However, we are currently at the 5th day, and hoping the package will be delivered, today. With my expectations set so high from the first order, this order has been a little disappointing.
...however, let's blame the shipper, it's always their fault. :-)
