I received the backboard very quickly and it was a great price. I don't, however, think the description was 100% accurate. It was replacing an acrylic backboard and was described as acrylic. But it sounds and feels like polycarbonate. It is softer and doesn't bounce like the old acrylic, which was more rigid.

All went well until delivery of the product.  I ordered an inground basketball system, but received an air hockey table.  I will be interested to see how effectively the company deals with this screw-up.  Will update this post as the matter progresses.

ordered on march 29th but didn't get picked up by fed ex until apr 6th so shipping took a little longer than usual. also, the box was torn to shreds when it did get delivered. large open holes in box, crushed corners, not sure yet if parts are missing.

I did not receive an email from the carrier in the noted time. It took three phone calls to Competitive Edge Products to find out what is going on. The first two calls did not call me back as they said they would. The third call, I was on hold until I got an answer.

I was not notified that my order was back-ordered until after I was charged. I ordered in early September & was charged on 9/6. I was later notified that the item would be shipped on 10/15 at the earliest. Usually companes do not charge until shipping. Altho I answered Yes to question #2, I don't actually know that, as I haven't received it yet.

The frame/shaft was bent and as a result the top portion which is suppose to slide up and down smoothly is more like moving a fitting a square peg in a round one. It's metal grinding against metal. I have to stand on the legs and pull up with my entire body weight. You know I'm a busy family person and I don't have time or extra money to ship this junk back. If I wanted a used or broken piece shipped to me at least give me a discount. Here is a tip: INSPECT YOUR OWN PRODUCT BEFORE SHIPPING TO A CUSTOMER. I had another purchase lined up off the website. My business is going elsewhere as well as business from anyone I know. This could have been avoided. Now after spending my time and money I have to spend more of my time and money to correct your error. It's disappointing and one more reason not to buy online. Who cares about shipping time. You shipped me junk.

hardware including nuts and bolts were missing. two brackets were also missing. I was able to purchase these from my local hardware store and the brackets I had to fabricate from larger stock. I could tell the mounting kit was a return from another customer because the box was all taped up. If you plan on selling something that has been returned, it is good practice to make sure all the pieces are there.

Our church ordered 21 Lifetime tables (96"). We did this online, and had a very quick response. Shipping time seemed normal, less than two weeks. All but one of the tables came in very good condition. When we discovered the damaged table, I e-mailed Competitive Edge, and they responded extremely fast, and had a table ordered for us right away. Their products, prices, and service are all that I could hope for in a company. I very highly recommend them to anyone!!!

Competitive edge has an excellent website. There are pictures and a descriptions of all products. It is easy to brouse the website by clicking on pictures and or catagories. Ordering on line was easy. Delivery was fast.
