Well say, unbelievable sure nice at Beals two women working in women's section of swimwear were so helpful I was finished in less than 15 minutes.

I ordered a glassware set for a Christmas gift that was inadequately packed and came all broken. Customer service refused to re-send 2nd day air to get here by Christmas so I ended up paying $6.00 shipping for a $3.00 potpourri packet (very light weight) as customer service refused to refund me any of the shipping. This is not good customer service and extremely frustrating.

Pricing Scam and Rude Customer Service Rep

Bealls had a sale on school uniforms and 20% "better than tax-free". I entered my order, received my receipt ($114), and received my order in a few days. But to my surprise $149 was charged to my credit card. Not only did I not get the 20% off, they didn't charge me the sale price. When I called customer service they were rude and told me I was wrong, they saw $149 on their side. My receipt shows the discount so I had to forward my confirmation email with pricing to customer service. They said they'd have somebody review when they had time. I'm not holding my breath.
I will never buy from them again. Classic bait and switch scam. |

I needed a pair of shoes for my son. We went to the skechers store in the mall and it was $52.00 for a pair of hotlights damager Police sneakers. My son loved it so much. But I thought it was too much t spend on a pair of toddler shoes. I came home and started looking for it online. Found Bealls Florida. I never bought from this store beofre and didnt even know it was a department store until I started looking for its reviews. Anyway - it was $31.50, I got free shipping too. So my final price was $31.50, I kept my fingers crossed and waited for the shoes. It was home in 4 days. We love it. My son loves it. and it saved us $20.50, not a bad deal in this economy.

I am a transplant from Ohio to S. Carolina, but I have family in Florida and have shopped at Bealls stores in the Tampa Bay area for years. I have always found quality merchandise at reasonable prices. For casual clothing, their prices are very good. They carry a nice selection of shoe brands (Clarks, Sperry, Aerosoles, etc.), and a terrific choice of sandals. I don't know how often they run sales, but there is usually one going on each time I'm in FL, which is every 90 days or so. Their end-of-season sales are great! I've had absolutely no problem with online ordering. Their computers have located my ordered items at their various stores, and I've received fast shipping to both Ohio and S. Carolina. I have always found their sales associates to be most courteous, whether in the store, by phone, or online. Overall, I would say Bealls Florida is very similar to Kohls--both stores offer great values in clothing and nice houseware lines. I only wish Bealls would expand their stores a bit north into the Carolinas!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! Didn't receive the item I ordered by the time it was promised, called and spoke to a customer service *manager* after getting nowhere with basic customer service, and was treated even more rudely then! They give you a tracking #, but then there's no record of it through the postal service (I saw someone else had this problem as well), and all they do is blame the postal service for everything. I have had MANY things shipped to me via the USPS this holiday season, and Bealls has been the first to NOT ARRIVE. Supposedly they have sent the same item to me via expedited mail, but I have yet to receive a confirmation of shipment. (again, the post offices fault according to them!) When I expressed my dissatisfaction with my order, I was told to "believe what I wanted to believe", and my further questions were ignored. Bealls Florida apparently not only can't place a simple order properly, but they truly have the WORST customer service I have yet to encounter.

I had a great experience with this merchant. I started ordering in July 2006 and made a purchase a few days ago. My first order was through Amazon, and then I started ordering directly because the service was even faster. I've never had a botched order of any kind...perfect and the speed has been incredible. I live in Virginia and have received packages faster from Bealls than some merchants in Baltimore. I've called Customer service a few times and each time the representative has been helpful in locating merchandise on the site.
The quality of the merchandise has been wonderful. I appreciate all the 100% cotton fabrics they have for shirts and pants. And, everything I've ordered has stood up well to wear and washing. |

I would never again order from this company. I ordered 2 pair of Caribbean Joe sunglasses. Got the first two pair and they were wrong. Called customer service and they said they would send a UPS label for pickup and replace the order (with a picture.) Got the next two pair and they also were WRONG. Sent everything back and decided to try Amazon.com because I thought they were a reputable company. Guess what? The glasses came from Beall's and they were again WRONG!!! Called customer service and they were very impolite and not very concerned that my order was wrong 3 times!! Not once did he say sorry for the inconvenience, just said something must be wrong with the web site since the mistake was made 3 times. And he was not going to try to fulfill my order.

When my order from Bealls arrived, they had shipped the wrong item. They did not respond to numerous emails and nothing was done after talking to their customer service representative. I have yet to hear from them about my order placed on 02/16/06. I am very dissatisfied with them and will never shop with Bealls again. If you have money to throw away, then shop Bealls.

I am not a resident of FL, but found the exact pair of men's Vans brand shoes that I was looking for (and at a good price) on the Bealls Florida website.
They shipped my purchase within 24 hrs, and it took approximately 6 days to arrive to the mid-west. Overall, I am quite pleased. |

My package was never delivered. Bealls ships through the US postal service priority mail, so there is no tracking number, which means I had to wait until the last estimated delivery date before they would send me a form to initiate a postal search. They told me they couldn't refund my money until the postal search was complete. Luckily, I made my purchase through Amazon and so I filed a claim with them and they will refund my money. Overall, I am really unhappy with Bealls. The people at their call center didn't seem to care too much that I hadn't received my package and generally treated me like I was trying to scam them. I won't order from them again.
