I would not recommend ordering from this establishment. I ordered a desk from them, which they placed with the manufacturer. After a week, I didn't get any info about the shipment so I called and was told it was already shipped but refused due to damage (which was not true). The mainstreet rep then asked the manufacturer to send another. This shipment did arrive, but in severely damaged condition. I informed the mainstreet rep again and he said I had to deal with the manufacturer directly. Unlike mainstreetonline.com, the manufacturer was very apologetic and shipped out another desk which arrived quickly and in good condition. And I didn't even have to return the damaged one.

My problem with mainstreetonline's service is that they are just middle men who don't really have any pull with the manufacturers if something goes wrong. They were very friendly while the order was being placed and then didn't really want to help when a problem arose. Their emails even got a little snippy toward the end. Stick with a major dealer and forget these guys.

I placed severla emials about damaged parts and no one has responded to this day. I am still waiting and getting a little more furious by the day. Very poor customer service! No follow up except for this survey.

After over a week from the date of purchase, I never received an e-mail about if/when my item shipped. Even up to the time of delivery, I still had not received an e-mail as I was supposed to. To find out status, I sent an inquiry to customer service via e-mail. They responded, advising me that the order had shipped and provided the tracking #. However, the box was in terrible shape when it arrived. The box appeared to have been ripped open with holes in different spots, and the box had been taped back together. I was worried that the item may be damaged. Although I have not yet assembled the item, from what I can see so far the parts are are in fair condition. I have to thoroughly inspect everything to ensure that none of the parts are missing or damaged during shiping. I'm not sure that I would ever buy anything else from shopmainstreetonline.

I placed an order for a triple dresser and a mirror. Both had missing parts. I spoke with a representative who informed me he would call the manufacturer and get me a replacement. I called back again after 10 days and lo and behold they had been sitting on their hands! This actually happened on two occasions. If you shop here and need a replacement make sure to call them several times to confirm they have really done what they said they would do. They seem to apologize quite well but it's very hard for them to actually get things done.

The price brought me in. The quick delivery will bring me back. The one area I think they could improve is the integration of the shipping info. You are e-mailed the tracking number so you have to cut 'n paste it into the UPS website. A very minor point, and if that is what helps to keep the prices down I am happy to cut 'n paste a tracking number

THE MERCHANT SAID THE ITEM WOULD SHIP IN 3 DAYS .AFTER 5 DAYS I EMAILED THEM TO SEE WHY IT HAD NOT BEEN SHIPPED THEY SAID IT WOULD PROBABLY SHIP THE NEXT DAY. AFTER 8 DAYS I CALLED THE MERCHANT. Great Price - Speedy Shipping but buyers be ware if returns are desired. In our example, an office chair cost $138 and $30 to ship.

In our case, the chair turned out to be quite uncomfortable. It didn't go high enough for the user who is of average height. The specifications do not say how high the chair can be elevated to.

To return for any reason other than damage, WE would have to pay return shipping $30 and be charged a "small" restocking fee of $30. We would be refunded $110.

Thus to return the chair we would be out of pocket $118 in unrefundable costs.

SO BE DARN 100% SURE THAT YOU WANT WHAT YOU ARE ORDERING. THE UNREFUNDABLE CHARGES (i.e. shipping, restocking, etc.)WILL BE OUTRAGEOUS.
