Overall, I was happy with my order from Optics Planet.  I purchased the Bulldog Extreme OD Green 35" Tactical Case BD442.  The price for the item was very reasonable and the shipping was fast.  The "Product Info" was incorrect in that it stated the case had a "removable adjustable shoulder strap with swivels".  Since I generally don't use a shoulder strap with my rifle cases, I liked the idea of one that was removable.  Unfortunately the case had a permanently attached shoulder strap with cheap plastic rings.  I was somewhat disappointed, but decided to keep the case, since I liked the other features.  Accurate product information is critical with online advertising, since the customer can't see the actual product.  As the need arises, I will still continue to purchase merchandise from Optics Planet.

I purchased this based on your advertised spec that it would reduce sounds by 33 db.
In fact, upon arrival of the product, Browning states the reduction is only 28 db.

I ordered this product because of your claim thereby making it superior to other products.


Alas, it is no better.

As a consumer of products I always do a deliberate search of the technical description of those products and rely upon what the seller says.  This time the data did not coincide with the claim of the manufacturer.

So far, SO good! Finally getting ccp and needed a practical, reliable carry holster for my S&W snubby. Did the internet research, found the lefty version on your site at an excellent price. The holster arrived in lght-speed time (2 or 3 days) and is much more than what I expected for the price; Italian sewn supple leather which fits the revolver perfectly, holds it secure enoght to inspire confidence and is a natural to draw from (after an afternoon of "rehershals") ;) Thank you for excellent service, as always.

Free shipping with only a 29.95 minimum, yet the prices aren't jacked up to make the difference. In fact if you find it for less on another site, there's a very high probability that by the time that site adds in their shipping, you'll be paying more than if you had bought it here! the optics planet service is very good,fast shipping.but one of the items i bought was  Dorcy 5mm 3AAA 9 LED Camouflage Flashlight 41-4248. and the 7 dollars flashlight only turn on 6 leds i sent an email to the store and send me the return policies and its a lot of time lost to return the 7 dollars flashlight.and i am not going to return.anything else is ok.

I have ordered from Optics Planet a few times. I have always received excellent customer service and my orders have always been very accurate with exceptional delivery times. I once had to return an item that I wasn't able to use and the process was easy and I received a prompt refund. My most current purchase was a  BlackHawk Double Mag Case Double Stack. The item was described was perfect and its a great product.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the products I ordered. Products received in a timely manner.  Did have a problem with the main product ordered ($1000.00 scope).  Took a lot of perseverance (5 phone calls) to get the "privilege"  to actually talk to a supervisor.  Customer satisfaction was not their goal.  I did get to return the product but did not get a replacement.  Therefore purchased from another establishment.

Very friendly and easy to use website that can be navigated through by the most novice user.  Was a pleasure shopping online on this site.  Communication was good and quick when my item was not in stock and then when it was shipped.  Shipping was quick and arrives earlier than expected.  have yet to receive a substandard item from Optic Planet Online and do not expect to, they are a very reputable company.

It would be nice if each variation had enlargeable pictures so one could see more detail in the various finishes but that is a minor concern.


The fit of the frames is exactly what I expected and wanted. The choice of frame colors is excellent. I like the way the lenses darken in bright light but do not over lighten when in shadow. Polarized lenses mean a clear view when needed and, of course, the UV protection is a must.

I've ordered from this site more than once and have been happy with the product. Drop shipped from the manufacturer means a little slower delivery time but a good savings.

Feb 11, 2012 My experience so far with Opticsplanet has been unbelievable. So far I have not received several items that I ordered Jan 25, 2012.  When I ordered these items they were available. But after the order went through these items were put on hold. So far two items that I received I returned because they did not perform as advertised. The customer service representative was not helpful at all. Overall satifaction is 0.

Placed an order on a Friday for three shirts I wanted to take on a business trip the following Sunday.  Unfortunately, I discovered the shipment was destroyed in transit on Thursday, three days before my departure.  The customer service department said they would send out a replacement shipment, ship it overnight at no additional charge and guarantee Saturday delivery.  I received the shirts in time for my trip.  This is the way customer service should be.  Going forward I will always give Optics Planet the first crack at an order.

I did a search for AR-15 scope mounts on Google. I picked the Optics Planet Store from my search results. The store took me right to where the mounts were and I ordered them. It was fast, simple, and my scope mounts arrived quickly. They were excellent quality and matched the color of my AR15 perfectally. I am pleased. I am shooting less than 1 inch groups at 200 yards.
Optic Planet Online Store had a very fast and efficient web site. It was safe to use my bank card which is one thing I fear the most on the internet. Everything went well though and there has been no problem. I am considering buying more after market things and parts for my AR-15 to use on the target range and you can bet that I will go back to Optics Plannet Store on line to purchase my extras.

I purchased the heatseeker and mount.  They were shipped very quickly, but had a problem with the heatseeker.  I contacted Optics Planet , was given a return authorization and shipping label quickly on the computer and a replacement was shipped.  I was handled in a very efficient and professional manner.  I highly recommend them.

It was very bad and I will never shop at Optics Planet again. I placed an order for two diffrent scopes and mutiple other items with a total cost of over $3,500. Most of the items they showed on the site as in stock were not in stock and only by calling did I find out that they only had 4 of the 8 items I ordered in stock. When I called I changed my order so I could buy my Night Force scope from AllNightForce.com as they do have them in stock and dont just say they do. By doing this change it messed up the other items I had wanted and they deleted 1 item I did want.

Furthermore, this was my second try with the company ordering as I have heard good things and thought perhaps the first time was just a goof up, but same issues came up. Not in stock while saying it is.

With all the above noted. I was very pleased with the customer service effort and they were helpful even though they made a mistake.

I received my Bushnell Tactical Riflescope, the Elite 6X24X50 30mm with free shipping and a huge discount from Optics Planet in three days and put it on a Remington 700 308 win. I have it bore scoped and ready to shoot this weekend. I am confident it will do well. My experience with Optics Planet is the best it could be.
The riflescope I purchased has a MilDot recticle, and I plan on using it on 100 yard targets to get it properly sighted in. After that, I will probably use it on 300 yard targets.
The load I plan on using is a handload with a 168 grn target bullet over either Varget or H4895 powder, I haven't decided yet. Both powders are pretty comparible.
My shooting partner and I will probably shoot for about an hour.
I am looking forward to shooting with my new scope. I think it will perform well.

I put the scope on my new Savage model 10 BA for 1000 yd shooting. After sighting in the first 4 round group at 100 yds was .187 inch and the next opened up to .375 inch. Not too bad for a rookie. The scope is rugged, clear, transmits a great percentage of light and is completely repeatable. Clicks are positive and return to zero actually returns to zero. Great scope for the price!! Optics planet shipped it at the speed of light, as usual, with no problems at all. If you want a medium priced scope for long range shooting, buy this one from Optics Planet.

I would describe this as a "world class" compass which is probably better than what the average hiker will ever need. It also can be used to measure angles and inclines which with a little math (which is explained in the instructions) can be used to measure distances. It has a rubber protective case that comes with it. However, I did invest in a small digital camera case so that I could carry it on my belt. It's definitely a professional grade compass.

I find that shopping with Optics Planet is a fun and satisfying experience.  They have an outstanding selection of products and try as I might I could not beat their prices on the things I ordered.  Their customer service is the best I have found.  They ship within a day or less of your order and they keep you informed of each step.  If something comes up out of stock, they tell you right away and offer you a alternate product and a 5% discount for your trouble.  When you call you get a human on the phone and one who actually knows how to help you. All in all a great place to shop.  I will (and do) use them each time I on-line shop and recommend them to my friends.

OpticsPlanet's telephone customer service representatives were knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful.  I had initially ordered a different scope and discovered it was backordered.  After speaking directly with the manufacturer, I wasn't willing to wait three months.  OpticsPlanet answered questions and helped me track down one of the other models I had considered earlier, then discounted the price to match that of a local vendor.  It turns out the local vendor would have taken 6-8 weeks to acquire the scope in question.  Optics Planet verified their inventory and shipped the scope the following day, and it arrived 24 hours later.  I have placed additional orders since with similar results and will not hestitate to order with them again.  I've had to return one item after ordering the wrong size.  That return is still underway, so I can't really comment on it, but so far they've made it simple with their online RMA system.  Again, I'm certain I'll be ordering more toys from them in the future.

Leapers UTG 5th Gen 6.8" ITA Red/Green Dot Sight w/Integral QD Mount & Lens Caps. Great price and appears to be a good product for the price. Built very well. My only issue is that it's suppose to fit a paccanti or weaver mount. It won't fit a weaver mount rail. In order to fit it to a weaver mount you have 2 choices by a different mount or re-manufacture the exsisting mount to fit. Also it's a 6.4" not a 6.8". With all this said it's still a great product for the price.
Bushnell Backtrack D-Tour GPS Tracker Personal  works ok has trouble locating a satellite.

THis was a replacement order for the RX holders since the first time I ordered them with a replacement pair of Bolle Vigilanti - I received the wrong size RX holders.  In addition the replacement Vigilanti sunglasses are described with replacement lens and the package that I received had NO alternate lens.  WHen I called I was told that I ordered the wrong item - I only saw one item on the web site.  Very poor customer service.
