Ordered a set of speakers from them which were listed as in stock. Two days later I called to confirm they were in stock, as they had not shipped yet, and customer service said they were in stock, but they "don't guarantee shipping in the first two days." Five days later I called to see why they hadn't shipped and they told me they were on backorder. I cancelled my order and have to wait an extra week for my speakers (from a more reputible company) because of their poor service.

1. I purchased a receiver, harness, and speakers. 2. The first shipment arrived quickly and well-packaged, however the rest of the order was back ordered with no information about availability. 3. The receiver sent was the wrong color. I checked the invoice and I ordered the correct model. 4. I called customer service and an agent picked up on the first few rings. I began to explain the situation, and she promptly "put me on hold" when the call disconnected. 5. I called again Thursday and Friday -- no service and none of my messages were returned. 6. Also, the speakers recommended by the website were the wrong fit. Oddly, Crutchfield made the same mistake. There was an online schematic that was correct however (so remember to google first.) 7. PROS: cheap prices and fast (when sent). 8. CONS: pray they don't get your order wrong, because you'll never hear from them again. 9. In a nutshell, according to these reviews, you have a three in four shot of a proper, fast and easy order. I guess that's good for field goal percentage, but not online ordering. |

These guys are the most dishonest bunch I ever ran across on the internet.
Ordered subs on the 17th. They sent me a email with a tracking number stating the subs were shipped on the 19th. UPS indicated that billing info received, BUT NOTHING WAS EVER SENT!!! Customer service acted confused and promised a call back. That was 10 days ago. I had to file a chargeback to get my money back. These people are scam artists and if you order from them you deserve everything that you get. I hope someone puts them out of business. |

I ordered a Visonik V417SX 800 watt amp and a pair of MB Quart DTC 169 6x9 speakers. After 2 days, I noticed that my order had not shipped yet and emailed them. On the third day I called their customer support because I didn't receive an email back. After waiting on hold for a few minutes, I was told that both of the items I ordered are on backorder for 1-2 weeks, which I was never notified about. I canceled my order and will never shop there again.

My product was recieved and in perfect condition, although I dont think you can go by the shipping dates they provide during the christmas season. at least not if you live in canada. my order took 11 business days, not including weekends, but it was christmas time, so that was expected (just order earlier if its a christmas gift. I also recieved an unexpected C.O.D charge at the door, so be warned, you may need cash ready when you pick up your order. also, my tracking number didn't work, i had to email to get one, and it was wrong, so I called and they emailed me the correct one later that day. I was somewhat dissappointed by that as the tracking number should have been sent to me in the first place without having to ask for it!

I had the system installed locally, and I was surprised to find out that I paid less for the stereo than the owner of the local stereo installer shop is able to purchase it for. It is my opinion that no one should deal with these people and that they are at the least dishonest.
I ordered a Pioneer refubished AVIC 80DVD and a refurbished AVD-W6210 and payed 79.90 to have them shipped overnight so I could install them over the weekend. They called me and said that they were out of stock of the refurbished monitor and would ship a new one for the same price. They shipped a 6200 instead (they called it an upgrade) that will not work with the DVD without an CD-RGB26P adapter. When I called them and complained they said they had made a mistake and I could send the monitor back for full credit, but if I wanted to send the navigation unit back there would be a restocking fee even though I was already out the over night fee and the freight to send the unites back. It should have been quite obvious that I intended to install both units together and that I payed extra to have them by the weekend. In my opionion if you do business with these people, you had better hold onto your had! Louis Linn |

I ordered an amp and delivery and everything was fast. Three months later it blew and needed warranty repair which was covered minus the cost to send it to them. They said it would take 4-6 weeks to get back from repair- well WRONG!! After 8 weeks the only answer I could get out of them is it would be soon. Finally when I got a real answer it wasn't what I wanted to hear either. I was going to get store credit because they didn't make the repairs. 8 WEEKS AND STILL NOT FIXED!! DOES THIS PLACE WANT TO HELP?? I had a setup custom designed to fit the amp so I wanted to get the same one. They no longer carry the same amp (PPI PCX 480) so I can't use store credit to replace it. Well I bought the same amp somewhere else and it was cheaper but now am stuck with store credit at a place I do not think I could stand to deal with again.

Also I have to add the long waiting on hold when calling their sales dept. It was a terrible experience especially that I was tight in time for getting my product and they made my lose a couple of days.

My experience with this store was terrible. Their customer service is close to non-existant, expect to wait on hold for at least 30 minutes each time if you can even get through. They overcharged me for items I didn't purchase. Don't bother paying extra for faster shipping because they don't ship from their warehouses for days after you place your order. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this store.

Only the tools at onlinecarstereo.com would list a product as 'in-stock' that isn't even on the market yet. I called them a while back to place an order on an item, and was informed they didn't have any. With further research, I found out it would be 5-6 months before this item would even be available on the consumer market. A month later, and this item is still marked as 'in-stock', even after I notified them of their bogus product listing.
Youd have to be an idiot to shop here. |

I placed an order for JL Audio 500/1 mono block amp. They said it was in stock but after 4 days with no e-mail, I decided to call which took 5 tries to get through. they finally let me know that it was on back order and it would be about three weeks. They never sent me an e-mail letting me know that the item was on back order. Please stay away form this company.

I definitely would not buy from these shysters again. I returned a Blaupunkt after only opening the plastic wrap (found my existing unit had only a minor, fixable problem). When I returned it, they shorted my refund claiming there were missing items. Total BS. When I told them I would submit negative review to Epinions, they said "Whatever, do what you gotta do". Better off paying more and buying from Crutchfield!

Twice I have tried to order the same product from this company (without realizing it). The first time I purchased the product, it was listed as "In stock" after several weeks of non-delivery they finally admitted they didn't have it. I canceled the order. That was six months ago. Now, I want the product again (an amplifier for my car) and I found their price as the best. I forgot about them so I placed an order. The same thing happened again. They do not have good customer service! Do not shop there!

Great Low Price... Inferior/Non-Existent Customer Service.
The first thing that bothers me is they billed my credit card as soon as I placed the order. I was sent an email two days later stating that my order had shipped. When I checked on the status of the order (both by web access and phone) I was told the order had shipped from a remote warehouse and that I would receive a tracking number shortly (I was told 1-1/2 days on the phone). That was over a week ago. I have sent several emails... no response. I tried to contact customer service again today; I was on hold for 30 minutes... I finally gave up and left a message. I really doubt my son will have his present for Christmas. I read other reviews before I purchased... I thought I was being smart. I would have paid retail price if only I would have known how much fun this would be. I will never purchase from them again. You'd better have lots of time left on your fun meter before you order from these guys. |
