Pros:
Possibility to get a excellent deal.
Cons:
Long wait times should one be forced to call Egghead Customer Service.
The Bottom Line:
Even though having to deal with Egghead's customer service department was frustrating, I suppose I would try their service again. Maybe the second time is a charm!

First, I would like to come right out and state that I got an excellent deal on the first product I purchased from Egghead.com auctions. The product I purchased (computer hardware) usually retails from $50-$100, I got it on Egghead.com auctions for $40.
However, the ordeal I had to go through with customer service was far from what I would call a good deal. A few days after I placed and won a bid for my product I went online to check the products delivery status. Soon after I discovered that there had been another order placed on my account. At first I became horrified, I figured that someone had been using my Egghead account to make purchases on my credit card. After closer examination I discovered that the other order had been placed on a separate credit card that did not belong to me. (Egghead auctions has an option that lets one enter several different credit cards for purchases online) Although this gave me some relief, the other person's package was still set to ship to my home address.
When I called Egghead.com customer service I was forced to wait at least a half an hour before I was able to talk to a real person, all the while listening to tasteless hold music. When the representative finally came on the line she told me that somehow (by utter stupidity I'm guessing) another person's phone order got added to my account. She then kept me on hold for another fifteen minutes while she cleared the mess up.
Other Dislikes
Egghead's automated Email system is flawed and does not appear properly formatted in several leading EMail systems, including Yahoo and Hotmail.
