Number1Direct

I ordered 3 appliances from Number 1 Direct for a customer who was remodeling a kitchen. I'm a contractor and have ordered many appliances on line with no problem. Shipping time was given as 2-3 weeks which was acceptable. Customer has company coming in 4 weeks. We are now at 4 weeks and the things have yet to be shipped. What a disappointment. The absolute worst part is the cavalier attitude of the people on the phone. They state they do business in a Christian way, but this is about as un-Christian as it gets. They have made no effort whatsoever to accommodate my customer and don't seem to care. The appliances have been in their warehouse since last Wednesday and as of today, Monday, have not made it to a pallet so the order could be shipped. Buyer beware! If you have no time restraints (and who buys appliances when something hasn't broken or you are remodeling) then you might get what you ordered. If you have a time constraint don't even think about it!

I will NEVER order from them again. I received the vacuum cleaner that I ordered, but not the washer. Contacted them several times. Very difficult to talk to customer service and no answers. Finally I talked with the same person that stated I needed to speak with customer service, and didn't receive the same reply as before. I was told that it could take another month before receiving. I am pleased with the vacuum cleaner I purchase and received it within a week. I had contacted them prior to ordering and they said 2-3 weeks for delivery. Now saying it could be another month, so I cancelled the order. I was told that it will take 24-48 hrs to receive a refund. I am VERY DISPLEASED with the service I received.

I was concerned about some of the negative reviews but went ahead and ordered a washer/dryer anyway beacuse the price was great (saved $800 over the cost here in Canada) and the store also had good reviews. I must say everything turned out fine. Delivery was a bit long (took three weeks) but my appliance arrived in perfect condition and is working fine.

We purchased a dryer and dishwasher totaling $1,002.00. When it was ready to be shipped we were told one time that a surcharge of $50.79 then needed to be paid.When questioned as to why this was not totaled before we checked out they said it was just their policy and was on the website. Then i received a phone message the next day telling me the surcharge was $61.00 and that had to be paid before they could ship my items. My husband then spoke with the company and told them to just cancel the order. This was done and I have requested a refund and am awaiting at this moment a reply. This is just something that should be really brought to the forefront when ordering so there are no "what seems to be hidden charges". We had paid through paypal and it would have been nice to know the correct total upfront. thank you for your time.

Ordered refrigerator, received e-mail confirmation but no further communication until they informed us that our "free shipping" did not apply because there was a $49.00 charge for delivery to our area that they did not include in their presentation for their service. The order took over three weeks to receive. Number1direct blamed a great deal of the delay on Fed Ex not picking up on time. Whether or not that is true is not known, at least by me. We have subsequently purchased a washer and dryer through these folks. Whether or not we use their service again depends on how their delivery goes this time. Still no communications on the washer/dryer. I had to call to find out the status. Supposed to be delivered on 05/02/2011.....we'll see.

After placing order, approximately five days later we were called and informed that $49.00 in additional shipping would be required to delivery our item. Since we had already paid for "white glove delivery" I considered this excessive and capricious. The total shipping charge should be on your website so that the customer knows in advance what his shipping charges will be. I didn't like your tactics at all, concerning the shipping charges.

I ordered an oven from Number 1 Direct almost a month ago and have yet to see it! I received a phone call from the delivery company saying they could not drive to my "rural" neighborhood. I do not live in a rural neighborhood and there are semi-trucks, trash, construction trucks, etc. everyday.  After continuous phone calls to number 1 direct, with them promising to get back to me that same day, they called today, 7 days later saying they were sending oven back and would refund my money. NO solution, to offer to refund delivery fee so I could rent a truck to pick up...discount??? NOTHING! And still no phone call from delivery company to fix the situation. The two could not work together to pull out a splinter, let alone deliver an oven! Would not recommend. THE SAVINGS IS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE!!

I have had a good experience with purchasing a samsung washer from Number1Direct. The ordering went smoothly and easily. The only problem was the shipping took awhile but customer service was very nice when I called in to ask where my was washer was. They told me that it had been backordered from the manufacture and would take an extra week or 2 and if I still wanted the washer or cancel it. I decided that I wanted to keep it. So, I waited patiently and it finally showed up on time and undamaged. Thank you number1direct i willl think of you when i need future appliances.

Prompt delivery, however, the range did arrive w/ some blemishes around one of the burners. I called customer service and they helped me by giving me a damage allowance for the damage.

I purchased an electric dryer from Number1direct on line and it was damaged on the side. I followed the instructions on the site and wrote damaged on the delivery slip and refused it. I called customer service and they ordered me a new one right way. I could not be happier. Number1’s web site is very good and the order process was smooth. However, the order was slow to shipping. I sent an email that went unanswered, and twice tried the online chat in Firefox, which did not work. I finally picked up the phone and called them and got an excellent customer service rep who said the phone number on my credit card didn't match. She said she'd check it all out and get the order moving. I asked that she call me back with the results. She did call back, and verified that the original phone number was correct, and also said she had moved the order. I will use Number1 again. The product was a much better than I expected from the description, which was a nice surprise, but the customer service rep I dealt with saved the day for them this time.

I now look forward to getting home from work and watching a nice movie.  I am not a picky person when it comes to electronics, if it has the features I am looking for and is reasonably priced I purchase it. It goes very nice with my TV and since my TV is HD as well, picture quality is perfect I could not ask for better player. I had done some comparison shopping and contacted sales. Ordering the player went very smoothly and quickly.  The next thing I knew is that I had made my purchase and I getting my player. I will always continue to shop at Number1direct.

After much researching at online and local stores, I chose Number1direct  to order my appliances for my remodel.  Naturally, with that much money at stake, I was very careful who I chose.  The prices were great, the order was accurate and delivery and service were very good.  

The delivery was made exactly when arranged, and the delivery men were very polite and helpful with opening the boxes. 

During the install, we had issues with one appliance that our installer could not resolve.  I called the customer service department for help and the issue was resolved quickly and easily.   

So again, I think if you want to take advantage of great prices and order online, be prepared to be your own advocate if necessary.  I would definately order from Number1Direct again.

I don't normally do reviews on sites like this, but the service I received from the staff at Number1 appliance was outstanding from start to finish. I felt they deserved a little praise. I looked for a long time for a refrigerator to replace the one from Whirlpool that has lasted me for over 20 years. I hadn't tried buying anything this big over the internet before. I was told to check out shopping.com by a friend. The refrigerator I bought had the lowest price I could find by far. Also, they were the only store out there offering a FREE 10 year warranty with the refrigerator. While that might not make a huge difference to some people, I have had to pay to have my dishwasher fixed before and it can get expensive. I couldn't believe Number 1 was giving that to me for free! When I called to get help entering the order, they were extremely helpful and patient with me. Customer service made sure everything was ordered correctly and that

First I order the icemaker, then had to cancel it and then ultimately re-instate it...and customer service was with me every step of the way, and in real time no less! My wife and I recently purchased a complete line of GE Profile series appliances . We worked with several of the "box stores," as well as one of the large "mall anchor stores," to achieve the most competitive pricing. I then sent the complete list of appliance model numbers to Jen at Number1Direct. She promptly called me back with a delivered price that was 20% less than the best price we had previously received. The staff is very knowledable and helpful...I should know, I think I called back about eight times getting at least three different employes on the phone and they were all very courteous and patient.  Ordered such "high ticket" items can be daunting and I just wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with my decision and they helped.  I will be buying all of my future appliances from Number1Direct and have given their name out to many people since my purchase, you cannot beat their prices and if you find a better deal, they will match it!

I had previously shopped for this model at various retail stores, over a two month period. I found it at Number 1 Direct for aproximately $800.00 cheaper. I was a little nervous to make a big purchase online, but once it got here I couldnt have been happier. It shipped for free, and got here earlier than I could have ordered it at a dept store, and had it delivered. I was thoroughly impressed with my experience with Number 1 Direct. It is a great upgrade to my kithen.

I ordered a refrigerator from Goedeker's on October 20, 2010 and was somewhat worried with Thanksgiving coming up that it would arrive in time. I had read many, many reviews online and also at the BBB of Missouri and was a little worried that I would get it in time, that I would get a new, non-damaged one and it would be the correct one. I took delivery today (11/3/10) from ABF and everything was just fine. Correct refrigerator, no damage and delivery was within the FTC.gov 30 day limit for on-line purchases. I did save money! This is my second order from Number 1 Appliance.  The first order was over a year ago.  At first I was hesitant to order large expensive appliances over the internet, but, both times the order came correct, within a week and in perfect condition.  Their staff were friendly and knowledgeable both times.  They price matched a great price from another site.  I will definetly order from them again.  Anyone who has a problem with delivery should first read the details about delivery clearly posted on their site.  Both times I got what was clearly outlined regarding delivery.  Second, you need to understand that this is freight.  They do not install.  I really hate to see people give bad ratings for not reading and understanding what is clearly outlined on their site.

The delivery problem I encountered was that once the refrigerator left the warehouse and arrived in to the local freight hauler, they refused to deliver to us as we were "too far out of the city".  The rep at Number1Direct.com was contacted and within a reasonable time, had found a trucking company who not only delivered the product INTO our garage, but helped us uncrate it and check it for damage!  Yes, it required that extra phone call on our part, but given the chance to handle our problem, Number1Direct came through for us.
