Horrid. I have been waiting since february 15 for some word on my order of a floor fan, they charged my card no problem, but will not return my phone calls, will not respond to my emails. I have tried no less than 8 times so far with no luck to get some assistance, to find out when they will ship, nothing.  Do yourself a favor, order from someone else, I guess they think because these products are targeted toward the older audience they do not have to worry about our feelings.
I am STILL waiting for my lamp in Magnolia Texas, no doubt they
will know which one I am speaking about. I will never order from them again and the three people I told about the site have now changed their minds and the minds of the people they told as well. They aren't going
to waste their money and time for a company who cannot bother to call a customer (who they conveniently charged and got their money within 48 hours of order) to explain the status of the order.

I bought a jewelry sparkle spa from firststreet and it cleans jewelry very well. The website is friendly and easy to use would purchase from this company in the future.

Sure wish I'd known about this site before ordering from firstSTREET in Feb '07...A flippin' floor lamp & a notice after 30 days it was on backorder & would ship in April...Waited until April & was advised it would soon be shipped...Finally saw they had the gall to charge the credit card for the undelivered lamp, called them & learned they had shipped my lamp to someplace in California by virtue of some bogus email they claim to have received...It took a weeks worth of phone calls to convince them the error was THEIRS...Lamp finally arrived yesterday (7/12/07)in a box all smashed up...Luckily the lamp was intact & works fine as I was afraid of having to deal with them again over this issue...Their customer service is sooooooo bad & the other reviews I've read here indicate the upper echelons are asleep at the switch...WAKE UP GUYS!!...Your company is on the brink!!...I plan to tell EVERYONE I know how bad this place is...Can't wait to see if they've re-charged this to the c.c.!!

One of the worst company I've ever dealt with. False advertisement and low quality products is what they are about. I bought their floor lamp and was greatly disappointed. It was way too short, heavy, and stopped working after 2 months. Their so called rebate is tricky as well.

Unethical business practices. I placed a order for two items listed as "in stock" but they took one month to arrive, and about 5 phone calls where their completely unethical reps just said "the order is being processed." Well, I am pretty sure it doesn't take 30 days to process an order. Obviously the product was not in stock, but they didn't want to tell me that. They just made excuses until they could finally ship it, which was 30 days later. Meanwhile my credit card was charged and they acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. Very unethical.

I got nothing but lies and the run around from customer service. They told me my package was shipped 7/7/06, but it wasn't really shipped until 7/20. The item came from the factory in a plastic bag. First Street simply put a label on the bag. The item wasn't shipped in a box. It arrived with a hole poked in it. It finally arrived on 7/31. That's 11 days from Virginia to Maryland.

I'll never order from this company again.

Finding the product I wanted was very easy. Their website is fast and easy to navigate. The shipping charges were unusually high; almost 40% of the order total. I accepted that because they had what I wanted and I thought perhaps that would buy me a quick shipment. I received an immediate confirmation of my order, but never received a shipment notification, so it was impossible for me to track the shipment. The item arrived three weeks after I placed the order. first Street will have to adjust their shipping charges and submit advanced shipping notices before I buy from them again.

No notification of items backordered when I ordered. Contacted merchant on online real time chat and was treated like I was bothering them. Service rep terminated the chat before I was finished discussing it.

After my order, I heard nothing from them. I finally emailed for a status on my order. That is when I found out the item has been back-ordered. I still have not received it. If something is back-ordered, they should notify you.

One item arrived within days of the internet order. The second item has not yet arrived. Today (August 20) I received a postcard mentioning my need to be in touch with them regarding the item--this was the first word I received about the delay.

the customer service department is very helpful at firstSTREET (although i did not have to call them for this particular purchase). my order was ordered and recieved within 7 days (including a weekend)! the quality of the merchandise is always better than i expect. i will definitely shop with firstSTREET again in the future.

Box arrived smashed in on one edge, but it didn't affect the merchandise. I'd recommend they use more packing materials to 'fil' the box, so the empty corners won't have a tendency to be smashed in delivery.

complaint: I tried to sign up for a monthky catalogue on the internet but it rejects Canadina postal codes. Repeated emails asking for the catalogue have never been answered. They are losing alot of business from me this way and should correct the problem immediately!!
