Bought the flip video cam from them on 11/28/2011 and it is defective. I called the customer serivce and they transfer me to their tech support department. All the tech support guy can tell me is to call Cisco support. Worst company I have to deal with so far |

I placed an order for a camera and a bluetooth. I checked online to find the status of my order. There was no tracking info so I emailed. A response told me that the merchandise was out of stock and therefore the order was cancelled. My orders fro the items were separate orders but both were cancelled. The Bluetooth was back ordered but the cameras was in stock. Since both orders were cancelled i reordered the camera. Today I received the Bluetooth and found out that ecost had reordered the Bluetooth and recharged my account. I still have not received the camera. Ecost's customer service stinks and i have removed them from my list of acceptable vendors. Their e mails go to junk mail were they belong.

I tried to order the monitors twice. I have never had a problem using my company credit card, and I do all the ordering for our location. I was told twice that the billing address and the address I told them was the billing address were not the same. I have never had this happen and I make multiple orders monthly for thousands of dollars using this same card. So I have started to look elswhere for the hardware I need.

I ordered a barcode scanner and selected priority overnight shipping. I called both before and after placing the order to ensure the item was available and that I'd receive it the next day. In both cases, I was assured that it was in stock and would ship that day. However, imagine my surprise when I finally get a "shipment confirmation" and find it's being shipped via ground service. Worse yet, even 24 hours after getting that tracking number, it still hasn't been picked up. Now I *may* end up getting it a full 2 days late. When I called customer service to ask why it was going via ground when I paid for priority overnight, they could only say that it was fufilled by an affiliated warehouse and they shipped it ground. They offered to refund the difference between ground and priority overnight, but that doesn't really fix my problem. I will never buy from them again and would definitely encourage you to stay away!

Item order 26 May 2011 Shipped next day with UPS. UPS moves my purchase acroos the country. Upon arrival in Coeur d Alene Idaho (10 miles from my home) UPS GIVES IT TO THE POST OFFICE to deliver 4 June 2011.
This to me is unexceptable. I paid over $12.00 to get a item weighting 2 pounds in a timely manner. But I will not see it for 9 days after it was shipped!
This 'type' of customer service is why I order only a few items from E Cost!

Although I like eCost, I do not like it's affiliation with Shoppers Advantage or Great Fun. Your web sight makes it sound like you are getting an additional discont form eCost itself, when you call the 800 number you have to sign up for another service. These services also do not let you cancil during the free trial period. Because I had done business with eCost I was introduced to these less than stellar other companies. So their lack of customer service damages eCost's reputation with me.

I received the TV on time, as promised. Upon trying to make the TV work properly with Dish Network, I spent 1/2 talking to a CSR from Dish; then another 1/2 hour talking to a CSR from Curtis. The TV still can't be adjusted to display a full picture without cutting-off the tops of heads. The Dish remote can not be set-up to operate the TV; I must use 2 remotes. This is my last purchase from e-cost!

I called to say UPS had dropped item getting it out of truck, left in front hall with door open and disappeared. UPS site said to have the vendor call them to report damage. Got run around, was told then hire somebody and bring to your unit yourself. Absolutely worthless customer support and a merry go round between UPS and eCost

I had to call in to correct a shipping address error and had to wait an hour each time for customer service to answer the phone. The correction was not made and the item was shipped to a wrong address. Customer service was rude when I called in the second time to tell them they shipped the item to the wrong address.

Ordered an Hp-210 netbook on Sunday, choosing one that showed as "available". On Monday, I get an e-mail that says it is on backorder and to call them between 7am and 7pm CST within 48 hours or my order will automatically be cancelled. I called on Monday during my lunchbreak and was put on hold for 20 minutes, and had to hang up. Today, I get home from work at 7pm EST , call them and was on hold until they closed, nobody ever answered. Horrible no-service.

eCost offered a cheapest price of a product in comparison to the other websites and they didn't have it in their warehouse for more than 60 days, they didn't mention that in their website. I purchased and never received a call or email noticing me that. Few days later i called the customer service and they told me it will take 2 or 3 weeks to have it in their warehouse and then ship it to my address and once again they didn't tell me they didn't have it for more than 60 days in their warehouse. Yesterday 3/30/11 I received a email that my order was cancelled because they didn't have it for more than 60 days in their warehouse so they took 2 weeks to let me know they didn't have it. I lost many opportunities to buy it in other websites for a good price too. Thanks eCost for your efficiency.
