Among the multiplicity of online toy stores we frequent, eToys.com is a favorite. My shopping relationship with them stems back prior to their affiliation with KB toys. In fact smarterkids.com and etoys.com are two of the early shopping online preferences I had. Considering kids and family is my ‘thing’ this should be no surprise. As a licensed daycare/preschool provider I frequently add educational toys to our homefront. I can count on eToys.com to suggest additional items for the age brackets I am interested in. Another plus is the availability of some hard to find items and the offering of some unique products. Within the category of toy purchase I would be hard pressed to think of something they don’t carry.

We are able to navigate the site with ease, make product selections, speed through the purchase process, and we receive confirmation emails for invoice purpose. The shipping method we prefer is standard USPS and we have always received the parcels within the stated time bracket. In actuality I was shocked to place an order on a Saturday and then receive it on Wednesday (standard shipping). Charges incurred have always been accurate and the prices of the merchandise they offer is average or below most retail outlets. I highly recommend eToys.com for your next toy purchase and for creating a wishlist for each child in your home. The selection is large and the recommendations are an attribute.

eToys.com offers three shipping choices (they charge by the pound with a minimum charge) and ship the products within approximately three processing days (preparation for shipment):
- Standard – Minimum Charge $3.99
Estimated ship time 2-7 business days
- Premium – Minimum Charge $6.99
Estimated ship time 1-2 business days
- Express – Minimum Charge $13.99
Estimated ship time 0-1 business days

The homepage for eToys.com is nicely presented with tabs along the top allowing you to choose between toys, learning toys, collectible toys, video games, gift center, or shop by age. One of my favorite attributes from the home page is found in the left column and allows you to shop by age: 0-12 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years, 7 years, 8 years, 9-12 years, 13-16 years, and 17+ years. Directly below this option you may chose to shop by category or brand. On this same page you will find eToys recommends links, a gift center, and a search bar. You may also navigate to the help menu, your account, order status, shop cart, and to your wish list.

One of the enticing features offered is the wish list function. This feature is extremely helpful for family afar. Each child may have a gift wish list that others may view and purchase from. When purchases are made the list updates to indicate such. We have received favorable feedback from relatives with regard to the navigation of this site, the wish list aid, and the overall friendly appearance of the toy store. In fact one relative mentioned that she feels eToys.com assists her with shopping decisions by the recommendations they make. Toys are supposed to be fun and shopping for them should be painless. I am thankful that this online store is hitting the mark!
