AVOID!! Etoys.com refused to exchange a damaged Wii because I opened it.

After months of searching for a Nintendo Wii, I finally scored one from etoys.com. Since the window to buy a Wii is so small, once i saw it was available, i just bought it without researching etoys.com. The package came and I was so excited to finally play a game system that I'd been waiting months to play. I set it up and tried to insert a game...the system did no "suck in" the game. Every time I would try to insert the game, the system would make a grinding noise or would suck in the game a little then spit it out. I emailed (since there doesn't seem to be a CS phone number) etoys.com and got an automated response saying that I could return my video game purchase if it was unopened in it's original package. It was obvious that nobody read my email or just didn't really care to help. I emailed back re-stating my problem and asking how I was supposed to know the Wii would not work without opening it. I got a slightly more personal response saying that they would not take back the system since it was opened and directed me to nintendo CS. Total BS...if i purchased the system from any "normal" vendor (TRU, BB, CC...etc), I'm sure I would be given an exchange if systems were available. Anyway, I really wanted to play the Wii so continued to mess with the system seeing as I was not getting any help from etoys. Luckily I got the system to accept a disc and it's been ok ever since. I do fear that my nintendo will not have as long a life due to this problem and I'll be sending it back to nintendo to get "refurbished" within the next year or so. Sucks...i paid for a new functioning product but did not get it.
