I recentrly purchesed a Kodack Zi6 from them and wished to return it back the same day I revided it since the item had clear scratches on it - they will NOT accept your product back for a money refund! Be ware of this - you will not be able to return your item for money back. |

Great prices. Sleazy practices. They love to intimidate you into buying a useless Platinum membership for $39.95. They are current offering a $1.00 one-month trial Platinum membership but they don't tell you that you are billed for a year automatically at the end of the month. They don't tell you that the one-month trial doesn't give you free shipping. They also reject their own rebates for no more than an excuse, daring you to fight it.

Be careful, They do not provide support for items they sell. The televison I purchased was Dead On Arrival. eCost.com expected me to pay for shipping to return the television and shipping to get another televison. That mean I would pay for shipping three times all because they shipped me a defective television. Thats not right. Their customer service representative was not helpful and quite rude. What ever happen to customer service. Stay away from this company

Save yourself trouble and your money. Even if you are very very lucky enough to save a couple of dollars this store is not worth your time. I was a platinum member. With it you qualify for five free shipping orders. The problem is if they cancel your order they will not give back your free shipping offer which you actually pay for with membership. They did this twice to me. They also would not answer my emails concerning this. What would you online shoppers call this practice? Not only that when they cancelled my orders the reason was because the manufacturer could not fulfill the order yet they kept right on selling the items and still do as of this writing. There are plenty of good online sellers available. Stay with Amazon or Buy.com or someone else. They are not worth risking your money or time and effort.

AVOID their "platinum outrageous offers" plan (at $40). The items are available in quantities such as "2 items". That's not "2 items per customer", that's actually "2 items will be sold."
Furthermore, if you TRY to buy the $1 trial monthly membership, they'll charge you the $40. On a previous experience, they cancelled the order because I did not return an email quickly enough. |

I purchased a Jabra BT350V Wireless Bluetooth Headset from ecost - what a mistake. The item received was obviously used, the earpiece was scratched up and the users manual was a hot mess! The earpiece did not work from day one. I contacted ecost and was told I needed to contact the manufacturer first. It had been less than a week since the item had been received so why would I contact the manufacturer. It wasn't worth the aggravation for $22.49 - I guess you really do get what you paid for!

Received a call that the notebook did not ship with the order but that it would be shipped next day. 10 days later still waiting to receive it. I purchased a Honeywell HHT-081 air purifier from eCOST. The unit arrived with no Owner's Guide or Warranty info or card. The unit is SO NOISY, it is unfit for household use.
eCOST return policy is a NO return policy! ALL SALES ARE FINAL! eCOST will only give a return authorization number, AFTER you place an order for a replacement of the item you are returning! When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was left on hold for several minutes and then disconnected.... two calls, same result. BUYERS BEWARE!!! |

Instead of sending the linksys, they sent ONLY the installation CD..honestly, Bizarre. Called immediately and they were completely non helpful. Put me on hold. Hung up on me. I called back the next day, even worse, never even spoke to and actual person, just on hold for over half an hour before I hung up. They did not respond to emails they requested with my photo proof of botched product shipment. Had to purchase a Linksys somewhere else, without getting a refund.
Yesterday, I got an automated type response saying my problem has been sent to another department...?? Here's an excerpt of what they sent, note the first email I sent was almost two weeks prior, We have reviewed your order and it shows that issues have been forwarded to the appropriate department. The status of your request is still processing. Please be advised of 24-72hours for updates. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I find that response unacceptable. They stole 80 dollars and they are "processing" I have no faith they will get back to me, from prior experience. I imagine that I will call again and get put on extended hold, if I'm lucky. |

my wife bought me a referbed ipod I got it for Christmas 5 days later when I try to see if they can do something for me because the center button's not working properly I'm sh_t out of luck. They refered me to an email tech support and did nothing for me. also my wife got the service plan though Square trade and because this has happened within the first 60 days (this happened before I got it) I'm out of luck with that root (at least Square Trade was nice on the phone) I've now got to cancel the warranty and file a claim with my wife Credit Card Co. Complaint Description:
We ordered a 47" tv. Appearently it was broken in shipping and not recieved. This was on Nov. 19, 2008 for a total of 810.00. We were told we'd be credited the amount and went ahead and ordered a 2nd TV. This also was broken in transit and we are now out over $1500.00 and have no TV. No one at this company will help us and they seem to not care that our kids will not have a Christmas. Your Desired Resolution: We want to have a Christmas for our kids....ON DEC. 25, 2008. We want a written appology from the company and want them to ship us the TV overnight at no charge and I would like to see Mary Jen Nubla get fired for discrimination agianst mexicans. This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It is our policy to allow the business 30 working days to respond to your complaint. You will be notified when the business has responded. |

I purchased a wireless router from eCost. After the purchase I found a better deal and called to cancel. The eCost representative told me they couldn't cancel the order because it was not in their system yet, and that I should call back when it was. So I called back a few minutes later. They then told me that once it was in the system it could not be cancelled. They insisted I needed to let them ship it to me and then return it. However once it arrived I was told all sales are final. Dealing with this company will leave you with a very slimy feeling. They are the worst most dishonest bunch of scum I have ever dealt with. They should be avoided at all costs.

I've shopped eCost numerous times over the years. In fact, I receive multiple emails daily from them with their bargain or sales items. However, I learned today that I cannot trust eCost's prices that are published in their emailings. For example, an IRoomba 560 was advertised in today's mailing for $229 but when I clicked through to their webpage to investigate the offer further, it was listed at $249. When I called their sales phone number to discuss resolving the price discrepancy, (after several phone transfers) customer service explained to me that they had been having trouble with their emails giving bad prices and that their higher website price, not their advertised email price prevailed. I don't know about that, since all their other prices seem to be right, but it seems to me that they should stand behind their offers. Needless to say, since I've basically been told by eCost that I can't trust their emailings, I've unsubscribed. Heck of a way to lose a loyal customer, eCost....

After checking the website for the next 48 hours the item was still listed as in-stock; even after speaking with a rep and "we do not have an estimated time of arrival on this order". As I write this it is still 'in-stock' and my account has already been charged...

Ordered MS Office Sudent/Home version.Never shipped Checked in week and was told backorderd. After two weeks checked website. Showed in stock but at 50.00 more. Called and was told my order had been cancelled because NO STOCK. B.S. They sold it at a price they decided was too low so they cancelled my order (no notice of course). I wasted 30 minutes on hold to find out I got the short end. There are lots of good on-line vendors so do not waste your time with these guys.

I ordered a bluetooth headset from Ecost in July 2008. As of October 2008 I still have not received this headset. When I ordered the headset I entered my full delivery address (which I have since confirmed) but when they shipped it out they only put a partial address so the package made it halfway to my house and then started heading back to the Ecost warehouse (which I could see through the tracking information). A month later Ecost couldn't confirm that they ever received the package back so they wouldn't refund my purchase price. Keep in mind that I NEVER GOT THE MERCHANDISE. Ecost COULD confirm that I never received the merchandise but that didn't matter to them. So four months later I am having to get my credit card company to refund my money for a product I never got. Ecost wont.

HORRIBLE! Item arrived and didn't even power on. They put me through hoops and made me call Westinghouse to try to get them to replace it (NOTE: THIS ALL HAPPENED THE DAY I RECEIVED THE ORDER!). Westinghouse informed me that they do this all of the time and try to dodge their customers with a run around. They even wanted to charge me for return shipping and another shipping to get the replacement (Total of $70 in shipping!). They are billing me for another TV and then they receive my exchange they say they will refund my second charge. BEWARE...SHADY COMPANY! I don't trust them and want to warn others not to purchase anything from them unless they want added stress!
