delivered broken blu ray player that was refurbished and unproffessionally packaged. Spent endless time on phone,had to waste more time calling manufacturer to establish a "case number", asked twice to speak to supervisor who did not return phone call, was finally promised a return authorization number within 24 to 72 hours. 5 days later , still waiting,

Product didn't work with my Mac. But instead of money back I had to order something instead AND PAY UPFRONT AGAIN for the replacement order to get the refund for the first order. But for that I had to a) call the manufacturer for a case number and then b) call them again to give them the case number. But if that wasn't enough I again had to call them I don't know how many times to settle for the replacement and the refund and the return labels to ship back the first order. ONE BIG TIME CONSUMING AND NERVE WRECKING transaction. I am in my fourth week now going back and forth with them and no end in sight. I am *that* close to just cancel my payment via my credit card company to end this mess.

I'm already regretting my purchase with your company and will tell everyone I deal with to avoid eCost.
I purchased 2 Polaroid i737 digital cameras on June 18th. Received them in a timely manner. That was great. However one camera has visual wear and the serial number sticker smudged. The other looks brand new and works fine. The camera with visual wear does not work properly. I called the 800 number, waited on hold 10 minutes or so, got a lady named Chris. She told me to call the manufacturer and gave me a number to call to get a case number. That number goes to a mail box that is full. I have since emaild them and have yet to hear back. All I want is a product that works properly. Just replace the camera or give me my money back. I do not think I should have to deal with the manufacturer on something that I just purchased, "recertified" or not. This will more than likely turn out to be a $45 learning experience. |

Ecost shipped the wrong item. Ecost's "World Class" customer service would not respond to the issue by email. Ecost telephone customer service promised a quick resolution with return postage labels, however when contacted 10 days later after no sign of the RMA materials I was informed after a lengthy hold that I would have to wait until the following week to have the "Customer Service Manager" look into the matter. My impression is this company is either very poorly managed or is in bad financial shape. I will pursue the matter with the BBB as well as initiate a credit card charge back. I strongly recommend buyers look to other more reputable online retailers for their purchases

Absolutely the worst. I purchased 3 items and requested 2nd day because we were going to be on vacation. Only 2 items came 2nd day, the 3rd was sent FedEx Ground. At the time of the order, if they had confirmed that the 3rd item was going to be shipped by FedEx Ground I would have not made any purchases, the net result I unnecessarily paid extra for 2nd day delivery. In attempt to correct this situation, I spent a lot of valuable time with their customer service to get a refund as I was unable to receive the 3rd item while on vacation.
Their customer service is horrible. Do not purchase from eCost. |

eCost doesn't say ALL SALES FINAL but that is what they are. I am SO angry. I tried to cancel before the item shipped but apparently once they have your money they don't give it back. Ok, I get that, my booboo. It would all be ok if I could just get the camera. It seems the ups plane took off 2 days ago from Texas & NEVER landed. I live in Nevada. You can pretty much get anywhere in the world for a 2 day flight. I called UPS & they have no idea & told me to call eCost & have eCost call them. Well eCost basically told me to F**k off. So here we have it a week later & no camera. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. Seriously.

I odered a heater (at a fairly good price) for our cottage on May 5. I expected delivery at the cottage before our arrival May 21st. The holiday weekend came and went without the heater, and I got an email that it was shipped on May 26.
We will be back at the cottage soon and hope to find it there, protected from the weather. The company never said it would be late and failed to acknowledge my email. A phone call got a "let us know if it is operating okay, but no apology. |

i ordered a hp touchsmart laptop and says it was in stock. the lied to me, i place the order using a 2 days delivery and they put my order on backorder because was not in stock and told me to wait 3 week for delivery. i called to customer service using another name and asking for the availability and the told me its on stock. they just want take your money and once you place the order your are Fuc....d i had to cancel the order and still waitting for my refund. please do not neverrrrrrr trust in this company. the customer service personal does not care about your frustrations and hang up the phone and tell a lot of lies. After placing a $400 + order for my company for equipment that needed to go into service 4 days later. (ordered 2nd day air) I received a order cancellation notice via email seven days later. Quote "NR - Customer did not respond to our request for more information" Phones at my business are monitored 24 hours a day. No calls where received. Only email I got was the cancellation. They also claim they were unable to verifiy credit card info (can't tell you how many Newegg, Tigerdirect, Mwave orders I have placed this year) no problems with these companys. Would not reinstate the order but I could reorder at "possible NEW PRICES" hummm! I don't think so! The hassle and money this has caused will assure I will not do business with them again. PS... you have to listen to a 30 second commerical to get to customer service with dead air after for another 15 seconds (makes you hang up thinking you have been disconnected) |

Beware: If item is defective out of the box you have no recourse but to the manufacturer - I purchased a TV that was defective "out of the box" Viewsonic wants me to pay to ship it to California and wants three weeks. eCost simple washed their hands of the transaction. No mater what the price - no service no customer.

This is the worst store you could possibly purchase items from. They don't accept returns on most items. They are responsive but completely unwilling to help when called. I cancelled my order next day and they said that my order had shipped. It actually shipped two days later and then they had the nerve to tell me "no returns." The item arrived and the screen is messed up, with the pixels darker in one corner of the LCD laptop screen. Terrible retailer. Don't buy from them!

Great prices. Sleazy practices. They love to intimidate you into buying a useless Platinum membership for $39.95. They are current offering a $1.00 one-month trial Platinum membership but they don't tell you that you are billed for a year automatically at the end of the month. They don't tell you that the one-month trial doesn't give you free shipping. They also reject their own rebates for no more than an excuse, daring you to fight it.

Be careful, They do not provide support for items they sell. The televison I purchased was Dead On Arrival. eCost.com expected me to pay for shipping to return the television and shipping to get another televison. That mean I would pay for shipping three times all because they shipped me a defective television. Thats not right. Their customer service representative was not helpful and quite rude. What ever happen to customer service. Stay away from this company

Save yourself trouble and your money. Even if you are very very lucky enough to save a couple of dollars this store is not worth your time. I was a platinum member. With it you qualify for five free shipping orders. The problem is if they cancel your order they will not give back your free shipping offer which you actually pay for with membership. They did this twice to me. They also would not answer my emails concerning this. What would you online shoppers call this practice? Not only that when they cancelled my orders the reason was because the manufacturer could not fulfill the order yet they kept right on selling the items and still do as of this writing. There are plenty of good online sellers available. Stay with Amazon or Buy.com or someone else. They are not worth risking your money or time and effort.

AVOID their "platinum outrageous offers" plan (at $40). The items are available in quantities such as "2 items". That's not "2 items per customer", that's actually "2 items will be sold."
Furthermore, if you TRY to buy the $1 trial monthly membership, they'll charge you the $40. On a previous experience, they cancelled the order because I did not return an email quickly enough. |

I purchased a Jabra BT350V Wireless Bluetooth Headset from ecost - what a mistake. The item received was obviously used, the earpiece was scratched up and the users manual was a hot mess! The earpiece did not work from day one. I contacted ecost and was told I needed to contact the manufacturer first. It had been less than a week since the item had been received so why would I contact the manufacturer. It wasn't worth the aggravation for $22.49 - I guess you really do get what you paid for!
