Took too long to tell me my order was canceled

I placed an order for a textbook ten days ago. In my confirmation email message they said my order would be shipped within 2-3 days by UPS Blue. All excited, I canceled another order that I had placed with a different vendor.

Instead of getting my book tonight, I received a generic email message saying that they were unable to find a vendor for the book and had therefore canceled my order.

Why advertise something that will ship in 2-3 days when you cant or dont want to get it? I can understand if it was discontinued, but its available from other online vendors. Did their vendor charge too much and they didnt want to sell it for the price they listed online?

Basically you cant depend on their catalog if things will actually be available and/or ever ship. If you absolutely have got to have something, go elsewhere.

Long story short, I now will have to wait another two weeks to try and get this book so I can finish my class.

If they had it in stock and it ever actually shipped to me, they had pretty good shipping rates to xconus locations.

Even with that though, I wont consider them or be buying from them again.
