This was my feedback to the Ebay customer support feedback questionnaire regarding a recent transaction… “Ebay's established rules and "help" site appears to be highly protective of buyers versus sellers. Selling on Ebay, especially internationally has been nothing less than a nightmare. Ebay's practices discourage honest sellers who always ship on time, and always ship using paypal's electronic shipping service from continuing to sell with ebay. Case in point, an international buyer claims that they did not receive an item (that was sent on time and with tracking). Paypal retracts the money from the seller immediately without even an investigation into the details. Not to mention, the case opened by the seller states that "the buyer has already contacted you through eBay messages," and the lagtime between the message and the case being open was 9 MINUTES. Who came up with this policy? When a buyer does not pay, I have to wait a minimum of 4 DAYS to open a case and then another 4 DAYS to close it - and ebay suggests that you give the buyer even longer. The policy actually perpetuates the problem of international buyers claiming that they didn't receive an item - making it easy for them to "steal". It's just one more example of a big corporation that no longer cares about the individual customer. To say the least, I'm taking my business elsewhere.”
