eBay Under Investigation FBI - Peddling Fakes

A review by callmecohncm written on Oct 21, 2009
Full review
eBay is rife with fake products from the far reaches of the world. I have found countless "knockoff" distributers throught the Asia and Australia. The problem is that eBay provides these thieves a wonderful gateway to the good people of the United States. When I brought this to the attention of eBay they simply ignored me. Thing is, eBay makes millions helping these thieves so why would they do anything about it? Then there is Paypal. eBay requires you to have a Paypal account. Paypal does very little to stop fraudulent transactions. You better do EVERYTHING by the book or PayPal will hold your money hostage. Some purchased from me with a stolen credit card. Weeks after I shipped the item and it was delivered (UPS tracking) PayPal went back into my account and took the money from me? Hello! Isn;t that what PayPal is for, to "protect" me? Don't be under any illusions, they "protect" themselves first! This entire process needs to be "reimagined". These are deal breaker vulnerabilities that cannot be overcome easily. I have reported eBay to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation Internet Crime Division International Division. I currently have an open case. Stay away from eBay, don't become a victim!
