In this recession, ebay is a refuge for buying and selling! I have been an ebay member for several years but only made purchases every so often and never listed anything for sale. Recently, however I have discovered what a gem ebay is. Not only do they have items from the most sought after companies but they sellers that I have dealt with have been extremely professional and legitimate. I have purchased many apparel items from North Face, Athleta and Free People for half of the retail price. Many sellers now offer free or inexpensive shipping as well. As a seller myself, I have found the experiences to be satisfying. I have not made a ton of money off ebay but have gotten many unwanted items off my hands for extra cash. Name brands typically sell better than anything else but vintage items and memorabilia sell easily too. I have only had one experience with a buyer who did not pay. I didn't ship either but it was a waste of time and listing fees. Ebay is now allowing sellers 5 free listings every 30 days, which makes selling much nicer. If something doesn't sell, you haven't laid out any money for it. Although 5 free listings isn't enough to make you a lot of money, you can definitely get extra cash. The listing fees are not that pricey to begin with unless you add extra pictures or add-ons.
