Shopping on eBay has become a drag. The "new search" experience call "finding" is terribly slow, and I am on super fast fibre optic speed (Fios) internet connection. The fact that sellers can only leave nothing but positive feedback for the consumer is rediculous. eBay has become overly populated with "catalog" type of inventory (think Amazon), and is going to be worse come Oct.'08 when eBay will allow such retailers as SEARS, DELL, HOME DEPOT etc. No longer will the buyer be able to buy something unique from the smaller "mom and pop" type of sellers since eBay is clearly trying to run out the "small seller". eBay has driven itself into the ground. Buying on eBay is not fun any longer.
FINDING (searching) ANYTHING is slow. Your item you are searching for comes up in a default "BEST MATCH", which is eBay's new version of trying to copy what Amazon does. eBay chooses "BEST MATCH" in their eyes, and NOT what is "Best Match for you the buyer".
For example, I was searching for vintage t-shirts and up came vintage teapots. HUH? Next I was looking for satin panty items, and up came a slew of satin party items. *scratching head*. From a seller's view, Best Match is terrible, and from a buyer's view it's worse.
I wouldn't recommened eBay any longer to anyone. Oh and by the way, you cannot pay a seller any longer with a check. It has to be through Paypal (EDITED): This is starting in Oct. 08 to PAPERLESS PAYMENTS, meaning NO MORE MONEY ORDERS OR PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED.
