As a seller and buyer on eBay, I have to say, I have had a couple of problems as both.

I still have a 100% positive feedback, because I am there to help my customers.

As a buyer,eBay and PayPal helped with the few bad sellers.
I was refunded my money. Although time consuming the buyer and seller protection offered by PayPal is second to none.

Overall I find eBay a great place to shop with: great products,pricing,and shipping times.Just remember the shipping companies and postal service have their problems that your seller can't control. Remember to shop early and allow extra time for shipping and customers if you order from a different country.

I find most sellers on eBay run a good business.
With the competitiveness of ebay, customer service is very important. eBay rewards sellers with great customer service, with more exposure for their products and listings,leading to a better customer experience.

eBay has just made major changes to return to an auction format
by a greatly reducing auction fees.
A lot of small store owner's will find greater exposure and cheaper pricing, if they close their stores and put their products on auction as buy now.
As a bonus this will help keep their cost down ,which they can pass on to their customers to.

The stores will remain for those who just want to shop for a great bargains and, do not want to wait for an auction to end or take a chance on being out-bid.
I love this feature, (I save a week ,waiting for my delivery).

I would definitely recommend shopping on ebay to everyone,
just remembr to check out your sellers feedback (eBay makes this easy).

Allow extra time for delivery,especially during peek periods like Christmas.

Save your gas and time.
Stop fighting for a parking spot,
Avoid crowds at the checkout,
Avoid disappointment finding out your product is sold out
(gas,time traffic to check another store)

Shop at eBay and have it delivered right to your door.

If one seller is out of stock you are just one click away from the next seller with that product.

Search eBay for those hard to find gifts and astound your loved one.
