I just completed a return with Ebags and it was incredibly easy. The automated system sent me a free shipping label to print from home in less than 24 hours. I put the bag back in the box it came in and took it down the street to the UPS store. (You can also drop it in a UPS box or give it to any UPS driver). Two days later, I received email confirmation that my account had been credited.

It's hard to shop for bags online because you can't feel the material or see the relative size. I only bought from Ebags because I knew they had free returns, but somehow expected a lot more hassle!

I found the prices on this site to be comparable to other stores', but it was easy to find coupons online. As a result, I paid about 20 percent less than I would have at a retail store. Be careful when using the coupons, though: most of them are enabled through special links rather than coupon codes, so that the same bag can appear with several different prices depending on the link you used to get to that page. This can be confusing! The current discount is usually displayed in a banner near the top of the screen.

Though you can easily complete a return without calling customer service, I did call with a quick question, and the person I talked to was very helpful and had good phone manners.

Note that Ebags does not do exchanges; you just return the bag and order the new item separately. Also note that the ORIGINAL shipping charges cannot be refunded, as is the case with most stores; however, if you find a free shipping coupon, you will not have to worry about this.

The bag I ordered was fantastic; I was able to learn more about it by reading the reviews on the site. It arrived sooner than scheduled, just a few days after I placed the order. I didn't like the color so I ordered another one, and it is also scheduled to arrive quickly; the merchant always sends a one-click link to the UPS tracking information.

I thought that eBags was a well-organized site with good selection. If they would add photos of each item being worn by a person (to show its size and "hang"), and more photos of the bags' interior and available colors, I would probably shop there all the time.
