Ebags.com is an online store that offers discounted prices for a large selection of travel accessories and bags. The company carries luggage, business cases, laptop cases, sports bags, duffels, backpacks, wallets, and other travel accessories. For those outlet-aholics out there, Ebags.com also has an outlet which is also located at the mother site. You can even request a catalog to be sent to your home.

How to Sign up

1. Go to www.ebags.com
2. Add items to your cart, or go straight to "Your Account" in the top right-hand corner.
3. As a new customer, go to Create an Account with a valid e-mail address. From there you are asked to create a password.

After ordering, you will receive a comprehensive e-mail confirmation. When the item is shipped, another email will notify you including the tracking number.

My Experience

I bought two backpacks and a wallet from Ebags.com, and I'm very satisfied with them. The Jansport bookbag I bought is still with me in good shape, and I bought it at a reasonable price and not at the usually inflated prices of Jansports. I also bought a bookbag for my brother that he uses to carry around his hefty textbooks. I recently bought a leather Liz Claiborne wallet for a great price too with free shipping! It's really durable and has lots of slots for my credit cards. All items have arrived on time!

The Good

1. Cheap prices: Most of the items on the site are marked down significantly between 10%-60% off! I am always in the market for good products at cheap prices.

2. Site Navigation: Searching for the bag you want is fairly easy. You can search by price range, name brand, material, sport or type of bag. This arrangement allows you to find what you're looking for easily. I can access all my orders at the "Your Account" link in the top right-hand corner. I can track the shipping of my recent orders as well as find out what I have bought in the past years.

3. Delivery: Items are delivered by UPS Ground (3-7 business days). For free shipping promotions, UPS Ground is usually the free shipping option. So if you can wait a few days more for your item, it's no problem. They also offer UPS 2nd Day Air (2 business days) at the same price. My items arrived by the date of estimated time of arrival.

4. Promotions: There are usually lots of promotions going on throughout the site. Currently (7/'03), there is a free shipping promo! In the past, I have seen promotions such as an extra 10% off Jansport backpacks.

The Bad

1. Limited selection of bags: This site does not carry every bag out there nor all the latest styles, especially since this store offers many namebrands at discounted prices. Some bags offered are discontinued styles or are limited to certain colors.

2. Logging out?: Ebags.com seems to have cookies because every time I visit the page, I can access my account. This feature can be very convenient, but also puts my credit cards at risk if others access it. I did not find a "Log out" feature on the homepage and had to go to the "Help Center" to log out.

The Ugly??

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you can get a full refund within 30 days of the shipping receipt. They provide a prepaid UPS label to return items to them, which means it's free!

Customer Service: Due to the great service, I have not had a chance to deal with the Ebags.com customer service reps, and I hope I never have to...unless there's a gift card with my name on it! :D

Ebags.com is a great place to get all your bagging needs at very good prices. The site is user-friendly and the shipping is relatively quick. If you don't mind discontinued styles at low prices, Ebags.com is for you! If I'm in the market for a bag, I search Ebags.com before going to any retail store off- and online.
