I was directed by epinions.com to drugstore.com to buy a toaster oven. On epinions, the information provided was that drugstore.com had the item in stock. That was untrue. On the drugstore.com site, the toaster oven was in fact listed as back ordered, with the indication that it would ship in 2-3 days. It has now been SIX days, and it still has not shipped. This is very frustrating. When I call drugstore.com's customer service number, they have no good explanation for me. And, because the product ships directly from the manufacturer rather than the drugstore.com warehouse, they claim they cannot expedite the shipping when it does finally become available to ship.

I'm a longtime drugstore,com customer but I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the sloppiness in shipments.
My latest order contained a can of powder which had somehow become opened, spreading powder over everything. This kind of thing has happened before. I stopped buying liquids from them because of frequent leaks. I believe they do not pay adequate attention and care to packing for shipment. |

I shop here all the time! This is a great website -- easy to navigate, etc. They usually have what I need in stock, and delivery time (free delivery over $49) is quick. Prices are good, too. They are not always the cheapest; but, after factoring in the free delivery and no tax, it all works out the same (less any further hassles of shopping around).

A week later I received an email stating that my order had been cancelled. I find it hard to understand why the order was ever accepted if they had no chance to fill it.

I have purchased from drugstore.com many times. The packaging was also so-so, but this last time they dumped all my items into a box, added a small packing bubble, and shipped. I had ordered bars of soap along with other items. The soap broke out of their packaging and damaged other items in the shipment. It was a mess. The taping on the outside of the box was very poor. I am removing my subscription to this site and not using them any more. I sent them a note a week ago - and they never replied. Good bye Drugstore.com.

DRUGSTORE.COM PRESCRIPTION part is TERRIBLE!
As long as you buy non prescription products it is ok, they are fast and they sent nice extras. I have ordered sleeping pill for my mother last month. We sent them hard copy of prescription by mail with address and phone number of the doctor. They haven't sent medication yet. They claim they need to talk to doctor if controlled substance is on prescription. In regular pharmacy it is enough to have hard copy of the prescription for class IV substances which this sleeping pill belongs. My opinion is that they didn't have medication in the stock and that is the reason why is taking them too long. None of the customer sales reps are pharmacist in Rx department off course. Really really bad. |

I will never do business with drugstore.com again. I sent them my prescriptions and received emails saying that drugstore.com was unable to fill the prescription I needed first. (The drug is a common generic blood pressure medication.) I asked them to send the written prescription back to me so I could get it filled at a local pharmacy.
It's been a month, and still no prescription. The "customer service" reps keep telling me it's in the mail and NOT to send a letter requesting the return of my prescriptions. Finally, I sent a certified letter asking for my prescriptions to be returned to me and I am waiting for a reply. |

I first shopped at Drugstore.com about 2 years ago, when someone told me that I could buy Rose Milk lotion there, and then I kinda forgot about the site. I went back recently (was just shopping around b/c I was bored) and re-found it. Shopping there is such a pleasure, esp. if you are like me (a drugstore addict!). If there is one complaint to be made about his site, it's that they have to much stuff, and I want to buy everything! I ordered some Ramy makeup that was on clearance, and my order came promptly, but there was a problem...due to the heat and the fact that the UPS man put the package in my mailbox (it's like an oven in there!) one of the makeup items melted. It was a clearance item, so I panicked; would I be able to get another one before they ran out??? Well, they did run out. But, thanks to a customer service, they sent me a comparable item that was not on clearance (cost $9 more, in fact) at NO CHARGE TO ME! I am completely blown away........

I WILL NEVER SHOP AT DRUGSTORE.COM AGAIN! I ordered an item, they confirmed the order and shipped a package (which arrived a day later than promised, but one day is no big deal)--but the package contained the wrong merchandise (even though the packing slip listed the correct item). I sent e-mail to them that same day, again two days later, and again a week later, and I've never received any response whatsoever. It appears that I am stuck with paying for something I don't want and didn't order, but it is the last time Drugstore.com will get a penny of my money.

drugstore.com sucks! I ordered over $125 worth of merchandise on June 21, 2007. drugstore.com claim they shipped on June 23, 2007. They promised delivery by "June 28 - June 29th".
Well, I'm typing this on July 5, 2007, and my order still has not arrived. My email to drugstore.com customer regarding the late/missing order goes unanswered. When I called drugstore.com, their customer service blamed the Post Office. However, the Post Office doesnt seem to have an issue getting other websites purchases to me in a timley manner, and this is the second order in a row that drugstore.com has lost or delayed my order with no explanation. When I pointed out these facts to the CSR, I got the telephone customer service equivalent of a shrug. So, I must assume that drugstore.com has a shipping issue (Im hardly the first to complain about it) and they dont care. From now on, Im shopping locally. Not only has drugstore.com ruined their own reputation, theyve ruined the reputation of online buying as well. |

Terrible experience!!! Make sure before you order an item that you read the product page first to make sure you get what you want. Drugstore.com may change the product you ordered to something else similar to it and your stuck with it...if you are not happy with the replacement only an in-store credit is issued --no refunds and no correct product! Even if you know exactly what you want, make sure you read the product page! I ordered a moisturizer here and they sent me a different one than the one I ordered...I'm stuck with an in-store credit at a store I won't do business with again...

My experience with Drugstore.com is the worst I have ever had with ordering on line from a dot com company. They do not respond with substantive replies to problems with orders. Instead their website is programmed to sending the customer links to multiple problem categories instead of responding to the specific problem of the customer. For example, an e-mail to Drugstore,com about a problem with an order will include links to about five different problem categories, e.g., delivery schedules, delivery dates, shipping charges, etc. If your problem does not fit one of their categories your are left with sending an e-mail to the reply URL. This will only generate the same pre-programmed response links instead of responding to the issue in your e-mail. Repeated e-mails to them only result in form letter type links - not replies. There is no phone number to call in order to resolve problems. They provide a mailing address which prevents the customer from receiving a prompt response or from knowing that the problem has been taken care of appropriately. After multiple e-mails with no response I called American Express to dispute the charge. Buyer beware.
