DRUGSTORE.COM SUCKS! The pharmacy is slow and unresponsive to inquiries and problems. The shipping is slow and sometimes medications get "lost in transit." Getting them to send a replacement takes forever as they go through a tangled web of internal procedures and bureaucratic red tape. You could die before they get an error resolved, and they won't even let you talk directly with the pharmacy. The customer service center sends messages to the pharmacy on your behalf, and the pharmacy responds back to the customer service center when they get around to it. Forget about getting a quick answer to anything that has to go through the internal channels from customer service to the pharmacy.
ConsumerReports.org has reviews of many pharmacies. Google "Consumer Reports Pharmacies." In their 2008 report, Costco had the best prices. For online ordering, they suggested AARP.org, CVS.com, Familymeds.com, or Homemed.com. And visit DestinationRx.com to compare drugs and prices. AVOID DRUGSTORE.COM. I've had problems over and over again. It's aggravating and time consuming. Life is short. There are lots of pharmacies that want your business. Don't waste time with one that has poor service , especially for something as important to your health and well-being as prescription medications. |

I ordered from drugstore.com this morning and attempted to cancel the order when I noticed that I was being charged for shipping--which was advertised as free on their website. Despite the fact that I cancelled the order immediately (within seconds of placing the order) I was notified by the company that my order could not be cancelled!

I always google everything I'm purchasing from drugstore.com to see if I can get it cheaper someplace else. usually I can. I only buy from drugstore.com as a last resort as the majority of the time the shipment delivery is "delayed", items arrive leaking or damaged or the wrong item is shipped, and most of the time at least 1 item is 'missing'. they seriously need to work on it...

Order was lost at the post office. I waited 2 days and rescheduled but it still never arrived. I called drugstore.come and was told they could not reship until the orginal order arrived back. It's been over 3 weeks and they still have not reshipped! I called today and asked to have the order cancelled since I can not wait any longer for this rx and was told they would not give me a refund-only a reship!
DO NOT ORDER RX'S FROM THIS COMPANY-IT'S NOT WORTH THE TIME AND TROUBLE! The postal service is in terrible shape these days so there is a good chance your order will not arrive on time, or as with me, get lost. If that happens you will probably wait over a month to get it reshipped. In short, this company has TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and a very poor return process! |

You need to check the charges with every order. There is a lot of false advertising on this website and they charge incorrectly. I've had charges after the order confirmation. This has happened to me for a second time so I won't be shopping here again. I don't want to have to comb through every credit card statement to make sure they didn't add a something after the fact.

This site is an excellent place to sign up for spam. If you purchase something from drugstore.com, expect to receive a series of irritatingly redundant low-value promotional emails.
Technically it's legal, because they tell you how to unsubscribe in EACH email, and they (supposedly) adhere to the letter of the law by (supposedly, although I am still getting spam) removing you from their mailing lists within TEN DAYS. I'm not sure why think their customers are stupid enough to think there's any justifiable reason for it to take ten days for a computer to change a simple setting. Don't bother emailing support asking to be removed more quickly. I tried that, and the customer "care" representative pretended not to understand, stating that he had removed my (already-removed) email address. He also reminded me that it would take up to ten days for the change to take effect. Ironically, the support response to my plea for silence ALSO contained promotional information, including a pointer to the twitter feed for the "Director of Customer Care" who I was assured would love to hear from me. As far as I can tell, drugstore.com doesn't care about providing a pleasant customer experience. Shop elsewhere. |

I have had such great experiences with drugstore.com and I can not tell you how many trips to the store it has saved me! It's so easy to spend their minumum for free delivery on things that I would have bought anyways. Plus I can find those items that my local stores stop stocking -- this is the reason I first discoved drugstore a few years ago. Now I use it all the time.
Time after time...great variety, fast free shipping, good prices, great customer service. A UPS shipment was recently lost and drugstore resent the shipment quickly with no hassle and no charge. This experience was my motivation to write this review -- I was anticipating a struggle, but they made it very easy! |
