I have shopped at dog.com on several different occasions and have always been pleased with the company. One of my two most recent orders included two 300 size dog crates which did incur an extra shipping charge (which was still reasonable) because of their size--but the rates were all clear before I placed the order. My most recent order was placed last Sat night and I received the package on Wed. The order included treats, collars, and toys--all of which were avaliable at a good price and were of good quality as well. However, one item in my order was cancelled--something I didn't know until I received my package so it might be advisable to place an order over the phone if you are worried about this. Also, regular customers who sign up for their email newsletter receive semi-regular offers for 10% off the order.

I have never had as many problems ordering anything online as I have had with this company. They added a $32 product to my most recent order and charged me for it, even after I forwarded them TWO confirmation emails proving I did not order the product. Then they wanted me to pay shipping to return it to them! The "supervisors" are very unprofessional. Also, I have placed four separate orders at this point, and each time they have "changed their policy" about shipping prices, so that the total they charge my card for shipping is always $5-$20 higher than what the website quoted me. If I had other options for purchasing the things they sell I would definitely do it... there are no pet stores in my area. I do not recommend this company.

I ordered 66 Nylabones from dog.com. I ordered and paid extra for "expedited" shipping, which turned out to be 7 days, hardly fast. I asked for my expedite fee to be refunded, and they refused. When I received my order, it only had 25 of my items. The other 41 were canceled, and they never let me know. Their web site is very slow, especially when using https.
