I wish I read these reviews before I placed an order for over $150 with them. Two of the items I received are expired and getting in touch with them is impossible. I sent two emails, one of which was ignored and the other bounced back because "mailbox is full." I did talk to a rude person once but the second time I tried to reach them, I got the message -- and then couldn't leave one because "mailbox is full, goodbye."

I placed an order, and requested them to contact my vet, and send him the form to sign for my dogs prescription. I checked with my vet 2 days later, and they did not receive anything from them. I contacted the number on discountpetdrugs web site while I was at my vets office, and the phone was answered at a location that sounded like a boiler room operation. The man on the phone was extremely rude, and told me he did send the form. After I told him where I was, and that he did NOT send the form..he hung up in my ear!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE! I am reporting them as soon as I send this email.

These were important prescription items and the website indicates they ship in a day, but a week later the order not acknowledged, support calls not returned and now support voicemail full, product not shipped.  They appear to just be out of business, wish I had read these reviews before ordering.

Ordered Oct 7, shipped Oct 26. Tried to contact all methods, never any response. Finally talked to someone on the am of Oct 6, told to cancel order. Then immediately after got em notification of order shipment! The guy was a rude a-- hole.

I have ordered from Discount Pet Drugs for several years - usually Frontline, but now Heartgard, as well - and have always been very, very satisfied. They offer FREE shipping which is not always as speedy as I may like but that's to be expected when things are shipped via the USPS. If you want or need faster service, it is an option, but you do have to pay for it. At least they have a free shipping option unlike most other pet supply companies.
Discount Pet Drugs also contacts my vet directly for prescriptions so I don't have to make a trip to my vet's office to get a written prescription and then fax it to them. I just place the order and give them my vet's contact info and they take care of the rest and do it very quickly!
At least for Frontline and Heartgard, Discount Pet Drugs has consistently had the best prices!

I used google search to find this company and compared prices. I chose Discountdrugpet.com becuase they would ship free with purchse over $100.  Now I really regret to have uses them becuase it has been almost three weeks and I haven't received the drugs I ordered. My pet already missed his regular dose schedule due to this delay! I wish I read your reviews before I placed my order on 8/18. I left 3 voice messages at their 1-800numbers to confirm my order but never heard back from them. They never sent any confirmation email messages. I am not sure if my order was received or processed. I just noticed that my credit card was charged on 9/1 and was worried that this company was a fraud. I now just hope that they will ship my order, and the product was accurate and sealed properly.

Placed my 3rd order with discountpetdrugs.com on August 18, 2009.  No problems with first 2 orders.  Both were received in about 5 to 7 days.  The third order was entirely different.  First follow-up was emailed on August 28th requesting shipping information - no response received.  Called them at (800) 941-1006 on Monday, August 31 and left message - no response.  Re-sent email on Sep. 1 and received a reply same day saying they would overnight the shipment.  Still nothing.  As of 9/3/09, their phone is not working.  ENOUGH!  Their charge to my Visa account was posted immediately.  Hope the credit comes as quick.
Beware of this company.  There are too many other reliable e-commerce retailers out there.

FRAUD ALERT

I placed an order for Deramaxx at discountpetdrugs.com and have never received it. They charged my Credit Card in full on August 18 the day they told me on the phone it was shipped Priority USPS. They also confirmed in an email that it was shipped on August 18 Priority USPS.
I have talked to them on several occasions and they said that I should already have it.

I never received it and they will not credit my card for the amount I paid.

This company is a Fraud and should be removed from the WEB.

I ordered 6 month frontline plus and 250 count 3v caps. I was impressed with the speed of the delivery, I ordered on August 16th and received the order on August 19th. I was, however, disappointed to see 4 bottles of 60 count 3v caps as opposed the the big bottle of 250 count. I was shorted 10 capsules. I should have been notified. I tried sending them an email, but it was retured saying their mailbox was full. I tried calling and all the phone did was ring (i called in the early afternoon on a Wednesday). So, I can't email them and they don't answer the phone. No wonder the price was good, they cheat you on the amount. I won't do business with them again. I still would like to get hold of them though. So the delivery speed was good, the order accuracy was faulty, customer service was non existent, so my overall satisfaction of discountpetdrugs.com is very disappointing.

The very worst!!!!  When your pet's life is on the line and meds are vital to its well being DO NOT order from this company.

The customer service guys, Allen and John, do not care about your pet's well being.
Promises about shipping are not kept and if your products need to be kept cool the orders sit in a wharehouse for hours priort to being shipped.  Do your pets and yourself a favor and avoid ordering from this company.

I will never do any business with them again!!!!!! I have ordered from them twice, you think I would have learned from the first experience! On this second order the arthritis medicine never came. I called to find out what happened to it and found out it had never been shipped (by then I was out of medicine). I told the fellow on the phone I needed to talk to whoever was in charge because I needed it sent out in overnight mail. The fellow in charge never called back and was always missing when I called them. Meantime I received an e-mail saying the order had just shipped out USPS ground. When I called back and told the guy who answers the phone I really needed it sent out overnight he told me it was the best they could do. I let him know I wouldn't be ordering from them again, he told me that they sold through a lot of sites on the internet so they would always have business. He's may be right but they don't deserve it. I could deal with the medicine being late but the rudeness of the fellow on the phone was inexcusable.

I will NEVER ever buy from DISCOUNTPETDRUGS again.  They will charge your credit card and will not send the product – period.  A total rip-off!  

They use the same excuse and scam practice on orders they do not send.   When you inquire about shipping and tracking, they will tell you it was sent already and will email you the tracking number – they will not email a tracking number.  Then they tell you it was sent at a later date – still no tracking.  Then they tell you they have a problem with backorder on some of the products…. No shipping – period.

Do a chargeback with your credit card and REPORT THIS FRAUD !

Ordered clavamox due to good price and asked to update my order to confirm that the faxed prescription had been received. No response after a day. 2 more emails- no response. Tried calling during business hours - vm only. Tried again- got put on hold for several minutes. Tried mailing again to cancel the order- got "mailbox full" returned message error.  Mailed to their info address to cancel the order- no response. So at this point, I have to wait until the charge is committed, and then contest the charge. Big waste of time.

Update: they did ship the clavamox a week later. So I have to update my rating as they did ship the product for a good price. However, I may go with another supplier, even at a higher price in the future because of their flaky customer service.

I ordered 3 prescription medicines 18 days ago.  Have not received anything yet.  I've called 4 times and am always lied to and treated rudely.  My vet says he did not approve the prescriptions because they will not send him the proper documentation needed.  They insist they shipped it anyway.  They have told me a different story every time I call.  I was told my money would be refunded today if the package did not arrive.  That did not happen and the person who said this was conveniently unavailable today.  I spoke to him every other time I called.  I was given a tracking number on May 29th that  says the post office received notification they would be receiving the package.  That has never changed.  The company blames the USPS.  I have also been told they have 16 different web sites and even if I don't order from discountpetdrugs again I will end up with one of their other sites.  I was swayed by the price but will check out a company better before I order on line again

Seriously - I wish I had seen the reviews before I ordered from this site.  I bought from Discount Pet Drugs initially to SAVE money, but when it took over 3.5 weeks to receive my dog's heartguard, I had to buy Heartguard from the vet (which as you know, costs $$$ & why we look for deals elsewhere)...and what I was trying to avoid.  I called their cust. service about 7 times and all I got was voicemail (again, the reveiws are right about them not answering their phone). After about 4 weeks, my order FINALLY came. I will NEVER buy from this place again.  There are other places out there, if you do a Google search, that have similr prices and WAY better service.

ABSOLUTELY the WORST experience I have had to date ordering items for my pet. The worst customer service, lack of accountability and they LIE to you. If you want your credit card to be charged 2 weeks before shipping, no tracking numbers and to pay extra for food delivery, this is the site for you. They told me my package went out a FULL week before it was actually sent.

Although their prices might be better, it is NOT worth the hassel when you NEED stuff the most. It has MAJOR SCAM written ALL over it!

Ordered Rimadyl on 4/28/09 and it arrived 5/1/09 by US Express mail. No surprises. No tracking number provided but I didn't ask for anything other than standard shipping. I did not ask for customer service, so I can't comment on that. Very good experience and very good prices. And I wrote this knowing there were negative reviews elsewhere.

My wife (A vet) ordered "Mycodex" shampoo in mid March. She never recieved a confirmation or the order. Her credit card was also never charged. I guess they just choose to ignore her order. I placed an identical order on April 27, 2009 and recieved an immediate confirmation e-mail. On April 30, 2009 I followed the link on my confirmation e-mail to check my order status. SURPRISE, "YOUR ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED." No explaination, no nothing. I called the customer service (can you really call it that if there is none?) number and let it ring until the phone company came on the line and said, "There is no answer, please hang up and try your call later." I sent an e-mail to the company outlining what has happened and so far, you guessed it, NO RESPONSE !! Why am I not suprised? Never again. I will be watching my credit card statement VERY closely from here on.

I placed my first order recently, and I have to admit it was prior to reading all these negative reviews. I was pretty worried, because 2 of the 3 items required prescriptions.  Within 5 days of placing the order, the package was received.  We couldn't be happier as everything was exactly what I ordered, no surprises! Prices were outrageously low and shipping was nominal.  We'll definitely be ordering from them again.

I ordered Advantix for my dog.  No tracking information was ever provided.  Called twice and was told that it had shipped and the tracking information would be sent - this never occurred. After two weeks and after reading all of the existing bad reviews, I called my credit card company to reclaim the charge. 
Two days later, the order showed up.  I had to call my credit card company to pay for the order.
I did get a good price.  The order was delayed and they were not  good at letting me know what was happening.

The delivery happened in a week. I was really worried after I read the negative reviews. I was about to call the bank and dispute the charge on my account. But I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I called them 3 times. the first 2 times, this one customer service guy, was not very polite. The third time, Steve, was much better. They said that they sent email confirmations, but I never got them, till this day. I am guessing, something is wrong with their system? Will I buy from them again? I don't think so. Just because I don't like the anxiety that it had caused me.

First order of glucose test strips was OK, but took almost two weeks to arrive.  Second order-should have known better- two weeks after order was confirmed as shipped, and credit card was charged, still nothing! I've ordered from discountpetdrugs.com many times over the past several years.  In general, they're very good - good prices, fast shipping.  Communication isn't their strong suit so here's a recommendation:  don't wait until 3 days before your pet needs his/her meds before you order.  Some things are apparently not stocked and so they might take 5-7 days before they ship.  I've never had a "bad" experience, though.  Use a credit card and don't wait until the last minute - that way you're covered and have time for a back-up plan in the unlikely event that you need one.

Ordered advantix green and was sent red.  Was told to fax a letter stating this and about a month later nothing.  Called up and the guy said that he would make sure it would go out.  Still nothing.  They sent me another bill.  i called and said this and he accused of me of internet fraud.  Finally recieved the package with no return lable and no pre-paid postage of course.  Even though I was promised I didn't have to pay for anything.  Piece of S*&% company.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Awful customer service... Nobody answer the phone, and emails forget about it.  I purchase two boxes of Clavamox on 12.28.08 and I received my package after a week. However there was only ONE box of clavamox inside, and when I checked my bank account SURPRISE they charged me for two boxes.

I have called and emailed them several times without sucess, not even a phone call or nothing.  Horrible experience, I WILL NEVER do business with them.  As of today Jan 23rd, I am still battling to get somebody to refund me for the missing product!!!
