Bad service and tech support, Deceptive "in stock" showing on unavailable "special order" items.

Absolute incompetence in sales as well as technical support. Nothing but bad information. They deceptively describe products as "in stock" only to tell you after the purchase that the item is a "special order" and that it will take a week or more to get the item. And, after verified payment through Paypal, they tell you they need a fax. They will waste your time. Boycott!

I placed my order on 8/25/07, by 8/28/07 there still was no email for shipping notification. I had to call and ask what the holdup was, no explanation was given, was informed that it would ship on 8/29/07. Only change I have seen on the order status now is that it's packed. It really seems that the response of getting the material out to the customer is very, very slow. Considering I spent over $1100.00 on this order. They need to get their act together in the processing of their orders!! Three days to process an order is inexcusable in my opinion. With this in mind, one needs to stay on top of their shipping department.

ZipZoomFly has been my supplier of choice for computers that I build for my home network. They have very competitive prices and excellent service. FedEx becomes FedUp

Ten days ago I ordered a video card. I have been tracking it every day or less. First off FedEx sent it all over the state of CA, then off to Ohio, [Columbus] where I live, and it kept on going to GA [Atlanta]. Drove right by my house. I called FedEx and they told me it was due to the flooding in Ohio, I live in the southern part of the state, besides it was 2 hours away at one point. They are tracking it, but don't have a clue as to where it is. I call Zip Zoom Fly, after a few minutes on hold I got to talk to a person, very rude at best. They are going to trace it, [48 hours is required] then they will file a claim with FedUp. After that they will ship me another one. I ask if it would take another 10 days or so to receive my order and the answer was yes.

An Apathetic Company

I recently made an order for 1GB of RAM on zipzoomfly. I even paid extra for the 2 day shipping option. They were kind enough to call me to verify my address the next day, however that is where the customer service ended. I continued to check my status online. 5 days after the order was placed, the order was not even listed as being packed to be shipped. I spent an hour trying to contact customer service but could not reach a representative during the entire time I finally had to cancel my order. I was relying on them to deliver my product in 2 days and I suffered because of the downtime that they forced upon me. I will not consider buying from this company again.

The merchant is tardy and unresponsive. On 08/06/2007 I placed an order for DDR module package and mailed the money order on the 08/08/2007. In the accompanying letter I asked to be notified by e-mail upon the arrival of the payment. I neither heard nor received anything to this day. On 08/14/2007 I sent an additional e-mail inquiry about the receipt of the payment. Nothing again. On their web site, the order status continued to show the same status - processing - until 08/16/2007, 10:00p.m. EST, at which point I simply had had enough and cancelled the order. Now I am waiting to to see what, if anything, will happen with the Money Order I sent to ZipZoomFly before deciding whether I will have to take additional messures to recover it.

No response to RMA request after a week. Very Dissatisfied.

I ordered a socket 939 motherboard from zipzoomfly which was delivered very quickly. I soon realized that the motherboard only had a 20 pin ATX connector for power and I needed a 24 pin connector. I filed the RMA request last Wednesday and have gotten no response to my RMA yet. I was initially planning to order the motherboard I needed to replace the one I must return from zipzoomfly.

At this point I'm very dissatisfied and skeptical that I will ever get a response to my RMA request. I would suggest others beware of this merchant. The order was processed arrived very quickly so I was initially very happy, but if you have to return anything for any reason, good luck getting a response.

disappointing and frustrating

I was very disappointed with my experience. The wrong item was shipped to me, mixed up with an order in Virginia. Ok, mistakes happen. But the way Zipzoomfly rectified it was extremely aggravating. After getting my RMA, I asked when the correct item would be sent to me. I was told I had to wait until both mixed up items were returned to the company. I replied it shouldn't work that way, since this was not my mistake. I requested my order be sent out in the next 24 hours. I got no response to that email. So I called customer service during normal business hours. I got a message that reps were busy, so I left a message. I never got a call back. And by the way, I never got an apology for the inconvenience caused by Zipzoomfly's error. It's the little things that mean a lot sometimes. I hope management takes the appropriate steps to be more responsive to its customers' needs.

Terrible customer service. Item ordered not in stock, incorrect status noted on site, and no response to three inquiries to customer service. Fourth attempt to contact customer service resulted in conversation with rep that denied "packed meant packed", despite clear status definitions on website, item was unavailable, but rep said that didn't mean it was out of stock, and no idea why I wasn't notified. No attempt to apologize, or retain me as a customer. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was "accidentally" disconnected on TWO separate attempts. Will never again order from ZipZoomFly and suggest readers do the same.

I pieced together a similar motherboard/cpu/memory combination at three reputable and well known online retailers.

ZipZoomFly came out, after shipping and handling and pricing, on top.

Service was quick and hassle free.

HOWEVER

The USB ports on the motherboard I purchased from them died approximately 60 days after I got it. When I pleaded for their help, they advised me to contact the manufacturer for an RMA.

It made no difference that I can't afford to be w/o a computer as I'm a single parent and I do a lot of my work with the computer.

If you're looking for personal friendly customer service, go somewhere else. Somewhere local, not on the internet. These guys don't care.

I USUALLY only use ZipZoomFly but boy did I mess up! I bought a Core Duo E6600 from Amazon the second the Intel price drop hit. Fast shipping but man, the darn thing was DOA when I installed it. So I called their tech support, they said "no problem new one will be shipped out first thing in the a.m. Look for our e-mail confirmation in the a.m." I did receive an e-mail. It said "We apologize, out of stock. Expected delivery date Jan 1, 2008" --------WTF!

I cancelled my orders with Amazon, went back to Zipzoomfly.com ordered on Monday 8:30 am. Parts arrived on Wednesday around 1:00 pm. I am now using my upgraded machine (3.3 ghz AMD X2 6000). Thank you ZipZoomFly. I will not shop anywhere else again.

I received my order less than one hour ago. As is usually the case with the company + FedEx, everything was as ordered, as promised, with no problems or surprises. I have never been disappointed with this company. On the rare occasions when I needed to talk to someone (once I think) they were courteous and helpful. The Store has a wide selection of the best products. Frequently, good links to manufacturers are provided. The site responds quickly and securely. I require accurate and prompt tracking which is provided by the FedEx feature. To be perfectly candid: I get my technical hints elsewhere and then take advantage of the lean pricing and strong service here. Thank you! (Thank you FedEx.)

a Zalman ZM460-APS 460W Power Supply Retail
and an Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8GHz 800MHz FSB 2MB Cache LGA775 Processor Retail
It was all ***Free Shipping*** and Zipzoomfly was very quick to send the items. CPU and PSU are great but Zipzoomfly is the greatest.

I avoid CA taxes like the plague but needed this item quick due to amazon having screwed me over by first saying they had it in stock then telling me 3 weeks later that it was backordered for 2months (I am extremely angry with amazon right now and have filed a BBB complaint against them with the BBB in Oregon)!

In contrast, ordered it with zzf, packed next day! Good job. But please get the hell out of CA so I can use your services in future (I will not pay the outrages taxes if I can avoid it!).

I needed a sound card for an older system for Vista compatibility. After searching and reading reviews I found the Chaintech AV710 VIA ENVY 24PT Sound Card at Zipzoomfly.

The Free shipping seemed good but I needed the card in a hurry and choose the 3 day shipping option for $2.99 ..it was well worth the extra
the card was delivered to FLA in 3 days ..nice job

The site is good enough as it provide the easy way to place an order for the product and it allows you to track the product as well but on the site its difficult to locate the rebate forms for the item you have purchased. When you click on the rebate center it shows all the rebates available for the current products and the expired rebates but it does'nt provide any link to download the rebate form for the product which has been expired. Because the customer will try to download the rebate form after he/she has purchased the product and has received the product. So you should try to make the site much more user friendly so that the things on the site can be easily located and can be used. Thanks.
