I wanted to do a new build on a HTPC (Home Theatre Personal Computer) and decided to go the mATX (micro ATX) route.

With a mATX form factor, the motherboard is smaller than the usual ATX format, which in turn allows a case of a different style.

As this was going to be a HTPC, I wanted a more sleek case, that would more resemble a stereo component than a computer.

I found a mATX motherboard that would fit the case just fine, but it was for an AMD CPU (Central Processing Unit), instead of an Intel processor, which I have used quite a bit up to now.
