Zaccardi's was the worst and most frustrating shopping experience I have ever had. I advise that you stay away from this online vendor.
I ordered an item that was "in stock" according to the Zaccardi's website. Hours after I placed my order, I received an email stating that the item was not in stock and was back ordered and would ship in 1-5 days. Five days later, I called Customer Service and was told that the item had arrived to the warehouse the day before and would ship within 24 hours. After not receiving any update within a few days, I called again and was told that the item never in fact arrived to the warehouse as Customer Service previously told me, that it was still back ordered, and there was no update regarding the status of the order. I called again 1 week later to find out the status, and still the item was back ordered.
Finally, 3 weeks after I ordered this "in stock" item, the product arrived.
I was told false and inaccurate information numerous times by Zaccardi's, starting with my original order where the website clearly stated that the product was "in stock."
Customer service also told me that their computer systems update only every 24 hours, so one can never know if the product you're ordering is in fact "in stock" as the website claims.
It's very convenient for the company to make false claims that an item is "in stock" so that they receive your business. If they were to state that it were "backordered," it would be very unlikely that you would make the purchase from them, and they would therefore lose business.
I was also always given a "run around" while trying to determine when my product would finally arrive. No one in customer service had any accurate knowledge, and they consistently informed me that I would be called within 24 hours by the warehouse. No one from Zaccardi's warehouse ever called me, however.
Zaccardi's is highly incompetent and disorganized. As I said, this was the most frustrating shopping experience I have ever had.
