I've been using x10 equipment for over 30 years. And for the most part I have been happy. Basically their stuff is great! Occasionally you find a lemon, but hey at their prices you kinda live and let live. I mean I really didn't think that Ferrarri I bought for $500 would be race ready and in showroom condition. Over all their products work well if used properly and seem to hold up well. I seriously have lamp modules I bought in the 1970's that still work even with their new wireless system. I could complain about the few lemons I'v gottern over the years, but why?, it's like 10 or 20 bucks throw it away and move on. Overall I would rate them very good. And the house is waaay cool with the automation. I have recommended x10 to numerous friends and have never received any negative feedback from them. I primarily use their automation equipment, but again I have two friends who have just installed some of their security equipment and they are both quite happy. I will admit that their website could use a little reworking, drives me crazy, but I put up with it because their products are low priced. So if you're looking for an award winning website and money is no object to you try a different home automation company. Good luck finding one with as varied and inventory or as much experience in the field.
