During Pre-Holiday season (early December), I was looking for gifts for friends/family. I hate giving ordinary staff to people. I was unable to find perfect gifts to my cousin and his new bride in Japan. (I didn't attend their wedding and yet didn't even send card or any gift for their wedding earlier last year, so I thought at least I had to send them christmas gifts).

I totally got stuck with my idea, I thought something to wear for newly weds like bathrobes, but it's too heavy to ship and I didn't know the size they wear(couldn't ask 'cause they could guess that gifts from me would be something to wear), and too ordinary, then 2nd idea was something they can use on their home, like kitchen staff, but electric appliances in US can't be used in Japan, and staff like plates-cup set is breakable and heavy, not practical to ship and give. then I saw an e-mail from My Points.com(reward program I have been a member of), it was an e-mail with advertising of online gift shop "Wrapables.com". the photos of several gifts were on the ad, they were colorful and cute and unique, I myself thought that something I liked would be in this store, so I visited the store from the e-mail.

Just as I thought, it was my kind of store, colorful, unique staff at affordable price. (My points gave me 15% off coupon for the store, and store offered $5.95 shipping fee for any order at that time), On the Home page of the store, there was an ad for rebate item. I looked at it, it was cute pig shaped vacuum (cow one was also available), that was a vacuum for table top like bread crumbs etc after people used table to eat. Actually I wanted one for my home, but I was sure that my 3 year old would think it's her toy and would mess it up, so I thought it might be good for my cousin and his bride. the price of the piggy vacuum was $14.99, and the rebate amount was the full price of it in Visa gift card.(Visa means you can use the gift card for almost any stores in the world, same as cash to me). I thought it was a great deal, so I decided to shop at this store right away.

Besides the Piggy Vacuum, I also found a Cute Pink Leopard print faux fur threw for cats. (pink satin fabric is lining), it was $29.00 (about 16x20 not so big, just for small pets like cats and chihuahua size dogs), I had not bought a gift for my cat yet, so I decided to buy it for her. (I put it on the chair she usually sits and sleeps on, and within 24 hours, my cat got on it an slept).

Since I was not planning to shop at this store, I knew I was not able to spend a lot, so just 2 items I mentioned above I bought. The cat threw was $29.00 and piggy vac was $14.99, total for merchandise was $43.99 and $5.95 for shipping, but I had 15%off coupon, so total for merchandise became under $40. and yet I will get $14.99 in Visa Gift card as rebate for Pig vac later. (the store notified me that they received my rebate request forms, so it'll be processed soon). I had never seen offer like this, Great!! there were more unique gifts for pets and people there, I sure will visit and shop again. it was really good taste and fun.
