I bought a Miele Washer, Dryer, stacking kit, and installation kit. I also ordered a Dyson Vaccuum. I made the order in the beginning of November 2004. Witbeck promised that I would receive all items within 2 weeks, and worst case, in 3 weeks. Telephone representatives who processed the order were very courteous. The Dyson arrived in a matter of days. However, before making the order, I was told everything was in stock. But all the Miele merchandise were not, and needed to be ordered from mfr, shipped to MI, and back to NY. The bill of lading indicated the appliances came from NJ. What a waste! Anyway, the washer/dryer arrived in about a month, which was annoying. Even more so, the delivery company, Icat-trak sent ONE person to deliver the Washer and Dryer. I took the day off to receive delivery, and I wasn't about to let him drive away, and believe me, he wanted to. How annoying! So I was forced to do heavy lifting to help him deliver the washer/dryer into my NY apartment. Is this what Witbeck calls "White Glove" delivery?! It was such nonsense, I wanted this whole ordeal to be over. But wait, there's more! The stacking kit and electrical adaptor I bought to install the w/d was MISSING from shipment. I was forced to cancel my appointment with my plumber. This also meant that Witbeck had to reorder the pieces, receive them, AND re-ship them! Today is January 7, 2005, over two months later, brimming with anger that I have a w/d in my living room, and STILL WAITING for necessary parts to arrive. It's too bad after reading all the positive reviews too. Therefore, I must say that Witbeck receives dreadful and failing marks for delivery speed, order accuracy, customer service and overall satisfaction.
Poo Poo on Witbeck. Units are not installed yet, so I can only cross my fingers that they operate ok. This little anecdote does not even include the immense lecturing and complaining my girlfriend leveled at me throughout because laundry could not be done.
