Save yourself the trouble by not purchasing at Walmart.com

Of course Walmart.com does not actively participate in ResellerRatings to monitor feedback - THEY DON'T CARE.
I preordered Star Wars: The Old Republic Collectors Edition in early october, and immediately regreted the decision. They sent my preorder code just fine, and everything was dandy.
I emailed them three times asking if quantity was going to be an issue, since I know it's bound to be in high demand. I really wanted to know if they would sell an item that they would not have available. My emails, clearly not important to Walmart.com, which they flat out ignored. However, since I got my code via mail I figured all was ok. Nope!
I then got an email early December (thats two freaking months later) stating that they are having 'system issues' and that many people's my account page on their website were showing cancelled orders, but that the cancellation status is being shown in error.
Then I received and email from paypal, stating that I was going to get a refund from Walmart.com.
I emailed them asking what was going on. They didn't ignore me this time, and told me to disregard the cancellation showing on the order, and that I was getting my item.
And then my refund actually processed to my card.
Again they told me via email that my order was not cancelled - but when I called their customer service phone number, sure enough, the phone rep confirmed.
Lies, dishonesty, and the fact that I could have purchased this limited edition item from a different retailer but being cancelled on at the last second, as well as being reassured that I would in fact be getting the item even though I clearly was not, did not give me enough time to find the item from a different retailer.
Due to their lies and greed (trying to sell more than they think they are going to get, or have in stock) I end up getting screwed. Needless to say my son will be disappointed Christmas time.
Thanks walmart.com! Thank you very much, for making my christmas totally stressful and disappointing.
I was nearly a first time customer (lol, almost) - and defitely the LAST purchase I will ever (attempt) to make there. Money talks - I'm taking my money elsewhere, and would advise any of you reading this review to do the same, and save yourself the amount of time/effort/trouble that I have gone through.

(In case anybody from Walmart.com ever sees this - oh wait, lol, they don't visit this site. I wonder why!)

Update : They still have not really apologized, or offered any type of alternative solution, or really done anything to fix my problem whatsoever. I really do not feel like publicly sharing my email correspondance with them, but rest assured - it's pretty abysmal. I suppose when thousands of people shop at your store that you can afford to provide crappy service to whomever you feel - after all, my potential sale was only a drop in the bucket.
The *ONLY* positive thing I could say about them is that the lady I spoke with when I called them was friendly, even though I was on hold for about 15 minutes while she attempted to figure out what was going on. I'm not one to take out my anger at a company over the phone to an innocent phone rep, so I was extremely civil to her. Truth be told, if I were her I'd hate my job - I can only imagine how many angry people she must deal with on a daily basis, if my experience compares to the norm.
Needless to say, this could easily be your story instead of my own. I urge you not to shop at Walmart.com - save yourself the major headache this whole situation has turned out to be. I'm the kind of guy that rarely, ever, fills out reviews or complains. It takes a lot for me to speak up in a negative light. Walmart delivered that much of a negative experience.
On a side note, I sent an email to the publisher of Star Wars the Old Republic - their advice was, and I quote, "Make sure to purchase it from a reputable retailer" - lol. I figured Walmart was reputable, and clearly that was a big mistake.
