Bad. Esp for contacts, orders get canceled & they dont tell you

I ignored the warnings and ordered my contacts thru the walgreens website. I placed my order and recieved a confirmation email (which I neglected to save). 3 weeks later, I called to see what the delay was. After checking by my name and address, the rep couldnt find an order. I checked my online banking, and realized the charge had not gone through. The rep immediately told me "sometimes we have an error in our system", and that even though I'd gotten a confirmation email, something along the lines fouled up. She was able to jump to that explanation so quickly and with such casualness that it didnt seem like it was the 1st time it had happened! The rep herself was very helpful, although I thought it would be appropriate on their part to upgrade my shipping to expedited, and she wasnt able to do that (or even tell me if the contacts were in stock - the optometrists dont work on sundays :)). So.. now I wait and hope that my dwindling supply doesnt run out before they arrive. Argh!

I am very happy with how quickly my order arrived. It was shipped the day after I placed my order and arrived just three days later. Because I didn't chose to create an account when placing my order, I wasn't able to track the order (which the site clearly says, so that was my choice), so I didn't know exactly when it would arrive. I wasn't expecting it would probably come until after the weekend, but it came on Friday, just a few days after shipping! I will definitely order from them again.

I ordered an item on Walgreen.com (health supply) on Monday, August 7th. Four days later I called and asked why I had not gotten an email that the item had shipped. They looked it up and said that the order was at the vendor, and that it would ship that night, with delivery by Aug. 11. I called August 12th and heard the same story -- the item had not even shipped yet! The customer service rep said it was not their fault, because they were dealing with a third party vendor. HOWEVER.... I ordered from Walgreen.com, and was never alerted to the fact that this order was going through a third party vendor! The rep offered to have a ticket written up so that it would go an "issue resolver", but also acknowledged that the process could take several days, because they deal with problems as they come in. Wow.... a company that thinks it's appropriate to wait 2 weeks for a medical supply? I learned my lesson, and ordered the same thing on Amazon (with 1 day shipping). I'll never order from Walgreens.com again..... TOO SLOW, and they DON'T CARE.

it took twice the time it said on the site for me to get my product. when i ordered it said i would have it in a week instead it took them a week to process the order and another week for the shiping. i will never shop at walgreens.com or their store ever again.

It is a terrible experience. I ordered a rocking horse (in stock item) several weeks ago, it's never ship out. I called, the first representative told me the order was canceled because the item was out of stock. She told me if I still wanted it, I needed to replace the order. Then I replaced the order. I called again, the 2nd representative told me the 1st order was not canceled, it was pending. No body known why it was pending for so long. I was quite upset because I began to worry about my 2nd order. It's a duplicate order. I asked her to cancel my 2nd order, she told me order could not be canceled once it was committed, neither 1st one nor 2nd one. Several days passed, both of my orders are pending. I don't know when they will be really canceled, and I can't buy the rocking horse from anybody else. It should be a gift for special event. I'm quite upset for checking order status every day.

Walgreen's on-line store has major issue with updating website to show what is really in warehouse stock. It took 20 days and 5 separate orders of the same item before website indicated item was out of stock. Meanwhile, my 5 orders were cancelled by Walgreens because item was out of stock. Website showed IN STOCK when each of 5 orders was placed. Four phone calls to customer service were useless. Emails from on-line service rep suggested I call customer service, again. Now seeking other alternative for adult health care items to be shipped to my elderly father. Won't use Walgreen's on-line EVER again.

The on-line store is great..just don't go to the Pharmacy in person. You will be ignored as you watch the person work the drive through window and you will watch in wonder as the technicians fill the pharmacy orders of others..yes they will glance your way but no nodd nothing..you could die in that line waiting on someone to come and HELP you. I love the store and all of the products but the people that work there are the worst bunch of morons I have ever seen. I will never go back in person!!!! I honestly thought about going through the drive-through after being ignored at the counter..I get a recipe after I went to the front counter to purchase a small item and obtained the receipt. The receipt has a survey which has all yes/no questions but nothing in detail so that someone will address the pharmacy's problems...this is in Valdosta Ga on Northside

I recently went to Walgreens to get a new prescription for Dovanex. When I went to pick up my prescription, I was told the balance due was $209. I said that couldn't be correct, as previous prescriptions (although covered by my RX insurance at the time) were under $150. the Walgreen's pharmacy worker suggested that it may be my insurance. I explained to her that my insurance didn't cover RX meds but she insisted on checking. While waiting for her to call me back, I called Wal-Mart to check their pricing. I simply told the Wal-Mart pharmacy it was a 60ml bottle of Dovanex. Didn't bring up insurance or anything else. She said the price would be $129. Wow! $80 difference1 How can that be? Is Walgreens ripping people off? when the Walgreen's lady called me back (to tell me my insurance made no difference) I told her about the Wal-mart price difference. She said she didn't know why it would be so much different. I said that I didn't either, but I did know that I would be shopping at Walgreens for my prescriptions any more!

I ordered a nice 800x600 resolution digital photo frame on Dec 15 listed as in-stock with Guaranteed delivery by Dec-22. On Dec-20th I get an email stating they are 'currently' out of stock and the item will not be shipped. I could have ordered it from several other online vendors (circuit city) for almost the same price...Now its too late and the item is out of stock at local stores. They aren't just a "drug store", they have everything you need from prescriptions to hygiene. Ordering is so easy and the prices are comparable to discount stores. My order was accurate and delivered on time, that rarely happens with other shops online.

I went to Wallgreens on the corner of Lawrence and Cumbeland Ave in Chicago. I had to take a picture for a passport. The first time the picture was too small. You could barely recognize my face on the picture. Then they retook it and presented a picture with my eyes half closed. After that I requested to speak with the manager, since I had spent my entire day running back and forth to Wallgreens and yet I did not get an acceptable picture. Then he very arrogantly explained to me that even with my eyes closed the picture was valid. He did not show any concern for my dissatisfaction as a customer. He told me to go and take a picture somewhere else. Now you tell me how do you choose your employees? And the managers? Is the main criteria arrogance and ignorance?

Walgreens.com took 5 days to even think about filling my prescription, then told me my prescription was back-ordered, then filled my prescription for 60% of the prescribed amount.
I eventually canceled the order. I sincerely doubt that the prescription program is a Walgreens entity, but rather an affiliate outside the US. |

I've been going to that Walgreens for prescriptions for two years now, and the man that works nights should be fired. He is an absolute as*#%#%@. Rude doesnt' describe him. I work nights, and go in around 2-3 a.m. to get my refills and he makes me wait an hour when he could stop whatever the hell he's doing and fill it then. All the other pharmacists that work late do; all of the women that work there are great, otherwise I would not give Walgreens my business either.

HORRIBLE!!!!! They can't/won't check the status of an order or answer any questions regarding an order other than what's written on the website. Their customer service personnel can't/won't tell you when it will ship (other than between 3 - 9 days) and they can't/won't cancel an order!!! They claim "shipping within 3 - 9 business days". Yeah, RIGHT! I ordered a rollator on 08/29/06 and to date it still hasn't shipped from the 3rd party vendor. Needless to say, the numerous phone calls to their customer service dept. were wasted time as no one was either able or willing to help find out anything about my order. Unless you enjoy being extremely frustrated - don't waste your time!!!!!!

The only time I ordered from Walgreens.com I was pleased with them. I had ordered REMEDY lip treatment for cracked lips and sores. I was so pleased they had it when my local Walgreens store didn't have it available. My disappointment was quick to return when another season rolled and around even the online store wasn't carrying it. *sighs*
As far as the site and ordering was concerned -all went well. I am still disappointed they aren't carrying the meds that they once carried. They're site is worth a looksee and if you find what you're looking for -congrats!! |

I recently shopped at walgreens.com for the first time and liked the experience.
I received my order on a timely basis and it was all in good condition. I ordered a cane for my grandmother because her old one is falling apart; she loved her new one. I also ordered Samy hairs care products because they don't sell the particular kind I wanted to try in the Walgreens near my home. The items were all well packed and cushioned. Every thing came in its own individual zip lock baggie; that was a nice touch. Had the shampoo bottles leaked during shipping, it wouldn't have gotten all over the box; I like that. I would shop at Walgreens again! |

Am going back to drugstore.com....If a web site does not ship lipstick (what I was ordering) to Alaska or Hawaii - they should tell you up front - -NOT after you have entered all your information
