I rarely write reviews on companies but have decided that I don't want others to lose money because of Walgreens.com. Although after reading other reviews, I can see I'm a little late in that effort.
However, knowing that other people have experienced the same abysmal customer service as I have makes me feel it's a necessity that this doesn't continue to happen.
I was looking for a specific item via the web and found the item at Walgreens.com. The fact that they offered free shipping if you spent fifty dollars, made the item a little more reasonable as well. So I placed an order for over fifty dollars. The site was well laid out and easily navigated. Like most online drugstore companies, purchases were easy to place. No problems there. Got the box in a fairly timely fashion. Which is when the problems started!
I was missing an item. It wasn't expensive but it was still an item that I was charged for and was stated to be included with my other purchases. So I went online and sent an e-mail that same day. Didn't get a response so I sent ANOTHER e-mail two weeks later. At that time I received a "canned" response from the company (with grammatical typos no less) that indicated my order had been "escalated to an order specialist" and I would be contacted in the order my complaint was received. And to date? It's been six weeks since I received the order and the ONLY response this company continues to send me is that I will receive a response from an "order specialist" in the order that my complaint was received.
I definitely have a problem with the fact that I cannot get a resolution for this problem. Customer service is nonexistent at this company. Whether it's the fact that I'm being ignored or the fact that they have SO many complaints that it takes over six weeks to respond to one complaint tells me that they have no care or respect for their customers. I would not recommend shopping at this website and will not shop at their stores either. I will not give my money to a company that is so inept. It's bad enough that they have robbed me of my money for an item I will never see.
