Credit Card Fraud bad. Vitamin business good.

Partners with credit card fraud site. Do NOT click on free shipping or you get charged about $20 per month.
DO NOT CLICK on "free shipping!"

Beware of follow-up fraud and sharing of your information with a site called "Shopping Essentials" which will place large charges on your credit card, for a membership you didn't sign up with.

They will have access to your personal information provided to them by VitaCost.

Do NOT even be tempted to click on the pop-up offering free shipping on your next order, because, if you fill ANYTHING out on this click, VitaCost provides your private information to them. VitaCost claims that by clicking on that site, you have authorized recurring charges from this "Shopping Essentials" site, which apparently is in partnership with VitaCost.

After ordering, I was asked to click if I wanted free shipping on my next order. I clicked because I trusted Vitacost. When they asked for more information, I exited, thinking . . . "nah!"

Several days later, I received an email saying my account would be charged. I had never heard of Shopping Essentials and didn't have a clue how they got my information. I didn't know what account. Wachovia Bank refused to help or block charges. I did research, and, after several hours, found someone who referenced Vitacost. That was my Aha! moment. I called VitaCost and they rudely told me that by clicking on that free shipping pop-up, that I had agreed to have an account with Shopping Essentials, and that there was nothing I could do, that they didn't do anything wrong.

I find this disreputable and will not deal with VitaCost again. Too bad. I have recommended them at length over the years but I feel this degrades their service.
