Bad Customer Service will destroy Vitacost!!

I ordered from Vitacost 2 years ago and seemed fine. But recently, I experienced alot of BS from them.

Initially when they did not respond to my emails for 2 weeks on some important product info, I thought perhaps I'd use the Live online Chat service. When the session commenced, I relayed my email questions again there to a Customer Svc Rep,nick "Rodger". He provided a simple yes no response which did not answer my questions sufficiently. When I asked further, he retorted that Vitacost products are better than others and then terminated the session abruptly! I tried again and another rep came on. The whole exercise started again. Since I did not want to waste anymore time, I requested for their Customer Service manager's email to lodge a complaint but the rep refused. So I remarked that I will call in a complaint even though I was all the way from Singapore!

When I called in and explained once again the problems, the customer service lady seemed nice enough and apologised and offered to find out more from her supervisor and put me on hold for several minutes. I had earlier impressed upon her NOT to keep me on hold for too long since I was calling long distance, a call I technically should not have had needed to make. I hung up and called again. Another Customer Svc rep took the call and was not able to reconnect to the first rep, but offered to help. After explaining the whole mess once again, I humoured that Vitacost should reward a loyal customer like me for being persistent enough to want to understand their problems but to save time I requested for their manager's contact again. She refused but advised that I could send the complaint to her instead. She stated that it's company's policy! When she still refused despite logic, I told her firmly that they have lost a genuine customer for good. She thanked me for calling and ended the conversation!!!

The ONLY reason I considered ordering from them was cheap pricing but I had my doubts before about quality too when alot of the different supplements I ordered (almost US$500 worth)looked the same to me. It's like all the same looking capsules in different supplement bottles!
