After extensive research on the internet and in my local community, I was still unsure about purchasing a projector. I knew I wanted a BIG picture, but I was confused about what would work in the space I had. After visiting a local home theater installation specialist in my area,
I still had more questions. They had a very nice setup, 120" screen, but their projector was
outdated and I wanted to see what high def could do at that size.

I knew I wanted to do the installation myself because the home theater specialist quoted me a
price of $5,000.00 for an entry level system. (that wasn't even high def!) I have pretty good
knowledge of how video works, making connections with a receiver for sound, but diving into
a projector and screen too was a little bit scary.

Finding a good projector and screen I could afford was my first task. After searching online, I read several reviews about getting the best performance for the best price. On several occasions, the reviewer referred to Visual Apex as the leader in offering new technology, the best price and customer service.

After searching on their site, I found a projector and screen I thought was right for me. I called the number, just to test the waters to see if their customer service was what the review had stated it was. I told the service rep I was interested in buying a projector, but not that day. I just wanted more information before I made a purchase.

The Visual Apex rep was very understanding and didn't try to push me into a purchase. He asked what I had picked out, then offered a suggestion of another projector and screen that he thought I would be more pleased with. The phone conversation lasted probably more than 20 minutes. He had answers for everything; including screen size, throw distance, projector performance. I told him I'd call him back after I did more research. He gave me his name and extension and told me to call him with more questions if I had them.

My number one reason for delaying the purchase was to find another site offering the same projector for a better price. I flat out couldn't find one. A week later I called back and ordered the screen and projector over the phone from the same Visual Apex rep. He had saved my information so the order was a breeze. The materials arrived at my doorstep within five days. Setup was very simple for both the screen and projector. I was even contacted later by Visual Apex to make sure I was satisfied with my order.

I am always leery about getting anything over the internet. With Visual Apex, they offer exactly whats on the site, and do follow up with first rate customer service. It was almost like talking to a friend about something you're both interested in. I would highly recommend their services to anyone even interested in purchasing a projector system.

By the way, my purchase was a Panasonic PT-AX200U with a 92" Elite EZframe screen. I have it hooked up to Direct TV, and a PS3 for gaming and Bluray movies. I work in the television industry so I'm always grading picture quality, knowing what I should be seeing. So far this projector has exceeded everything I thought it could do. Watching high def on a screen that big is truly amazing. The picture is so bright that many people think it's a monitor when they first see it. (A long way from those projectors of the old days.)

Bottom line, Visual Apex gave me what I believe is the best deal on the projector I wanted out there, no questions asked. Their help over the phone was phenomenal, and the people are truly interested in helping you making a satisfying purchase.
