It was a nightmare shopping with Venting Direct. I should have steered cleared and run the other way when I saw these reviews but got lured in by their marketing department and their hollow promises.
My bad experience started when I requested an upgrade to my order as the one they had shipped was white and I wanted a Stainless Steel model of the same range hood. The marketing professional promised me over the phone that it was as easy as refusing delivery and just ordering another one. I said ok and did what was told.
Weeks passed before I saw anything about the refund, the calls were returned but with false promised that the refund will arrive in 2-3 business days. Even after 21 days, as they promise on their website, the refund never came so I went ahead and ordered another one, the higher model and asked my American Express card company to look into the matter. Now, the company turned back quickly and refunded me only a part of the sum saying that it was considered a return. All this time, I had not even touched the package and refused it even before delivery.
Now began the he said/she said routine. Their tone changed and now are totally obstinate about the policy. The products are of inferior quality so don't waste your time if you want anything worth while.
This has been my worst experience shopping on the Internet. I guess once bitten....
