My first television arrived broken. My second television was sent to the wrong zip code. I had to get everything fixed at the shipping company. Vanns customer service did nothing for me. Every email went un-answered and every time I called I waited for at least 15 minutes on hold. I spent 1000 dollars and I still have no television to watch yet. It's been almost 3 weeks since my original order was placed.

Let me say that I was extremely apprehensive about ordering a 42" LCD TV online and having it delivered since I have had many bad experiences with fragile items being damaged during the delivery process- not to mention that it had to go from Montana to South Carolina. The same TV locally cost over $400 more, so after reading many wonderful reviews from shoppers, I took the plunge because of the price and free shipping (ACROSS THE COUNTRY! How do they do it at that price?). My concerns were erased when I received my TV in perfect condition. They were a couple days behind in timeframe stated due to the Christmas season and they were overrun with orders, however they sent me an email explaining reasons for delay with apologies. Job well done.
On a side note to anyone considering a larger TV- it is my experience that standard cable is TERRIBLE on a screen of this size. Pixelation is blown up quite bad- I am a graphic artist, I should know. DVD quality was improved with S-Video cable, however you need to consider HD service if you want to get full enjoyment from a screen this size. |

I ordered a set of Mirage "OMNI 550" loudspeakers from Vann's on a Sunday night during the Christmas season. They arrived 4 days later via FedEx in good condition. Last year, I ordered a Sony 40" LCD television from Vann's that also arrived via motor freight without a hitch. Great prices, no tax, no shipping fees, friendly customer service/support. Yesterday afternoon, I ordered a Canon camera lens from Vann's for my son's birthday, with the assurance that it would arrive in three days. It arrived this morning, LESS THAN 24 hours later!! Amazing, particularly insofar as the product pricing was, by far, the best on the Web and the shipping was free.
The lens is exactly as ordered, including original manufacturer packaging. And it arrived in perfect condition because it was shipped in a shock absorbing, bubble-wrap insulated carton. On 1/3/2008 I ordered an Onkyo 705 receiver from Vanns and was immediately charged the next day on my credit card. After my card was charged they informed me the item was not in stock. I requested cancellation of my order... suddenly Customer Service is now absent and will not respond to my e-mails or credit my charge card. After numerous e-mails to Vanns - still no resolution. I still have not received the product! I still have not had a credit applied to my credit card! And still no responses to my e-mails as of 1 15/2008. Run as fast as you can away from this company!! Yes their prices may be less on the onset, and some may have good results. I for one will NEVER order anything from this company again and warn everyone I know!!

Price was excellent. The order was shipped promptly. However, I ended up not needing the item and wanted to return it after Christmas. I have been trying unsuccessfully to get through for a week. Its a bit frustrating especially after listening to their recording telling me again and again how great their service is. Well I disagree. It shouldn't be this hard to get an RMA.

Second purchase from VANNS!Their phone line was consistently busy all day! Ok it was Dec 17 and everyone, like myself, were probably taking advantage of the good deals being offered which was great because I waited until last minute to shop!

Outstanding on line supplier. This is the third time I have purchased items from Vanns. Ordered 46in HDTV 10/4/7, order confirmed 10/4, shipped 10/5 and received on 10/8. Ordered Blu-Ray DVD player 10/25, order confirmed 10/25,shipped 10/26, received 10/29. Ordered Sony digital camera on 12/17, order confirmed, shipped and tracking info received 12/17. Delivery scheduled for 12/20. No pressure sales calls and no problems. Vanns reduced their published prices shown for the HDTV and the BLU-Ray DVD player within Fourteen days from the time I had placed my orders for these items. I called their Customer Service concerning this and they immediately adjusted my account to reflect the reduced prices. FIVE BIG STARS for sure.

On Dec.2, I ordered a camera of the Panasonic DMCFX10S from Vanns.com. On their webpage they show the words "Panasonic DMCFX10S is Brand New", but I received the product, however, it is refurbished. I have to spend shipping fee $7.38 to send it back. This is not a reliable store.

I am completely shocked. I would not have considered buying such a large item (Sony 60") on line, but could not find it locally or even a local dealer willing to get me the info and order for me. So, off to the internet and took the time to look at the stores ratings and, of course prices. Vann,s was the best buy so I reluctantly placed the order. WOW, two days later I received a call telling me my item was here. Unbelieveable. I also had to call Vann's about a couple of questions, other than terminally long wait, they were very helpful and courteous. Would never hesitate to buy from this store again. Will recommend it highly to everyone.

I had never heard of Vann's until I saw it listed on Epinions.com. Like other reviewers, I was somewhat skeptical about the Montana location. I found the Vann's website easy to navigate and my order was processed without a phone call. I used a debit card for my purchase, and was able to verify it online. The item I purchased was $50 less than the next lowest online store or local electronics store. Vann's offers free shipping, no handling fees, and no taxes, since Montana does not charge sales tax. My order arrived in 4 days in a well padded box via UPS Ground. I received e-mail confirmations when my order was placed, filled, and shipped. The final e-mail also included a tracking link. I am completely satisfied with Vann's, will definitely shop there again, and highly recommend them to anyone looking to get the best products at the best prices!

This was the second time I ordered a camera from Vanns and my experience was just the same: perfect. My camera arrived earlier than the estimated arrival date in perfect condition: carefully packed with airbags to protect against any damage. And the camera is just as described. I highly recommend the Vanns for everyone who don`t want to pay the in-store price for something and wants to avoid the risks. If you buy from Vanns-there`s no risk.

I usually dont write reviews but I feel compelled to for Vanns. What a perfect experience at every level. From the ease of ordering, their fraud department ( more online stores need this service to protect us) to the email updates, to the fastest shipping ever. Oh, by the way, I ordered and received today my Sony 60A3000 big screen TV after ordering my TV 7 days ago, Not bad timing considering the distance it had to travel. Im so happy with the whole order oh and btw again, they have the cheapest prices on the net. How can anyone shop anywhere else?

This is a REAL review...not something generated by a PR dept! :-) Had a WONDERFUL experience with my purchase of a Sony KDL-46XBR4 tv from Vanns. Their customer service people were very friendly and knowledgeable; the package shipped on the Monday after Black Friday when I ordered it; it did get delayed one day in shipping in the Yellow Freight system, but given the time of year, very understandable. The box arrived without a scratch on it (granted it only traveled from Missoula,MT to the Denver, CO area), and the set not only worked "perfectly" from the moment I turned it on, but also is an amazing piece of technology. I recommend the product and Vanns unhesitatingly.

I have not received my order yet because I just ordered today, but I was impressed from the beginning. I didn't feel like the store was trying to pull a fast one. Yesterday I looked at many "low price" stores only to find out that the product was being misrepresented. Vann's has good prices and no sales tax, plus I got free shipping due to the cost of my order. They tell you exactly what you will get too. I feel that I made a good choice ordering from them. I have already gotten confirmation that the order is being processed.

I purchased the Samsung 5089s DLP television through Vanns. It was not available in the brick and mortar yet. My purchase price was better than if I had bought the older model from a local big box store and they included a free DVD recorder. I was sold on the price. Order processed quickly. Yellow trucking delivered. No problems at all was a great shopping experience. Just a quick not also. They have a 15 day price match. I was a couple days over and I noticed that it was 100 dollars cheaper. I emailed them. Not complaining, just curious if I could get a price match. Was not going to be upset if I didn't get it. Just out of curiosity. Well they gave me 100 bucks off! Would shop there again! |

I highly recommend this company. Before I made the purchase, I had numerous questions, which were answered quickly, fully, and politely, all via e-mail.
I ordered a large-screen plasma and was wary of having it delivered by truck. I was called by the trucking company to schedule delivery. The TV arrived in perfect condition. It was supposed to arrive in 11 days; but it was here in 6, and that's counting the weekend. A week or so after we got the TV, I was looking on Vann's Web site at prices for remote controls. I noticed that Vann's had dropped their price for my TV by $90. I e-mailed them, and they've credited my card with the difference without any hesitation. Vann's sets the standard for Internet commerce! |

I recently ordered a 56" Samsung DLP from Vanns.com and the experience was excellent. The order was placed late Tuesday night and the product was shipped the next day. It even arrived a day early. Tracking information was provided. I had not noticed that a special offer was being made on a Harmony remote ($19.99 if ordered with the TV--normally $130 in retailers) when I first placed the order. When I called back the following day, the rep apologized for not being able to ship it with the TV (which had already been shipped!), but offered to still honor the price. The sales/customer service reps were very easy to deal with. The price on the TV was several hundred dollars below local retail box stores. Emails were sent to update order/shipping information. Free curb-side shipping and no tax meant an even better savings though, if you live alone, you might want to pay extra for in-home delivery. I would highly recommend Vanns.com.

I ordered an Onkyo HT-SR800Black from the on line store. on 10-22-07. The unit arrived on the 25th which I was at first happy about. Upon inspection of the box it was cut up and re taped and the straps inside had obviously been redone. the receiver was opened and had a distinct electrical smell to it. I figured if it worked I would overlook the problems. In opening up the speaker enclosure however I found the center channel speaker had a big gash in it. I called customer service and they offered to refund or exchange the unit. Also although it had a FedEx tracking number it was not a FedEx truck that delivered the unit.I will follow up with how the exchange goes but as of now this is unacceptable. I believe Vanns to be a good company as I have been in their stores. This purchase left me with a bad feeling about them though. Hopefully that can be fixed depending on how easy this is to exchange and how long it takes to get the new product.
