I purchased a Samsung HL61A750 61" DLP TV from Vanns.com. Vanns had the best price and beat the big-box stores by $300.They also offered free shipping. I have never ordered an item this big or this expensive online before. I knew I was taking a risk by not making my purchase at a local store, but the user reviews of Vanns.com were almost universally positive. I decided to take a chance.
Because of the size of the TV it couldn't be shipped by US mail, Fedex, or UPS. It had to be shipped by a trucking company, Yellow Freight. I was amazed at how quickly Vanns processed and shipped my order. The email communication from Vanns was very good. I was able to track the processing and shipment easily. The tracking information informed me that the TV  would arrive at my home in Minnesota 6 days after I placed my order.  Yellow Freight was supposed to call me with a delivery time, but they didn't. The information I received from Vanns told me to call Yellow Freight if I didn't hear from them. So on the scheduled delivery date I called Yellow Freight and they told me the TV would arrive in the "early afternoon". I knew that I'd be at work when the TV was delivered but my wife said she'd be sure and be home from noon onward. I was afraid that the truck driver was going to leave the TV at the end of our driveway. I knew my wife wouldn't be able to carry this big TV inside, and it was snowing on the delivery day! 
To my surprise, the Yellow Freight driver was very nice and brought the TV into our house. He actually showed up about 11:45 AM instead of afternoon. He had to wait a few minutes until my wife got home. The TV was in its original manufacturer's shipping box. It was in perfect condition. The truck driver told my wife that when items get damaged in shipping or there is a mistake, Vanns does a good job of working with the customer to get the problem solved. He said that hewould be ordering his next TV from Vanns himself. He delivers products for lots of different companies, so his recommendation carries a lot of weight. I'd certainly buy from them again.
