Horrible!!! (Vanns Good Job) Yellow (Sucks)
Full review
My first experience with Vanns has been a nightmare so far. And I am not happy. Not because of Vanns but because of Yellow Freight. Vanns has been great, and right about everything. Yellow however has really dropped the ball and I am gettin pretty upset. I ordered my Samsung pn58A650 series 6 Touch of Color Plasma tv on 12/18/08 through Amazon.com I paid 130.95 for expedited shipping so it would be here between 12/22 and 12/24. Vanns emailed me to inform me because it is a 58" tv and weighs 162 lbs. with box. It had to go freight, Yellow Freight. Ok so they refunded me the 130.95 no problem. They said the tv would ship out monday 12/22, and it did. On 12/23 it arrived in Salt Lake City Utah, and sat there on 12/23, 12/24, and 12/25. Understandable because of the holidays. So Yellow has 12/29 as there projected delivery date. I knew right there I was doomed. I have only curbside delivery and now I am at work on 12/29 and 12/30. So now if he comes, and I am not one of the fortunate ones that is lucky enough to have the tv brought in the house, my wife is left with 162 lbs. tv with a 5 year old, and a 3 year old and my 7 year old niece who she is baby sitting. The tv arrives at the destination dock on Tuesday afternoon. They call my wife and inform her the tv will arrive on 12/31 between 12pm and 4pm. The northeast is blanketed with snow (of course) no tv. At 4:05PM I contact Yellow where is my tv? The driver supposedly left the dock an hour later than usual but would be there by 5pm. At 6pm no tv, I call Yellow again. Sorry sir your tv will not be coming today, the driver got stuck near your house and had to be towed. Maybe Friday or Monday. HaHa maybe Friday (NO YOU ARE BRINGING IT FRIDAY!!!) I contact Yellow via online chat they tell me the driver attempted to deliver. So I wrote oh yeah when? I was home all day!!! I went outside 5 times to shovel my driveway to make this guys delivery easier, I would have seen him. Then she changes her story. I said look all I know is I have a 3,000 dollar tv sitting on your truck, and I want it Friday. Supposedly they will have a small crew working as it is a national holiday and they are delivering to buisnesses only. I say bull**** your bringing it. My tracking says the tv is in progress being delivered. So if it went back to the dock why does it still say that? All I know is I want my damn tv!!!! Or someone is cutting be a check for 3 G's. So now I have to wait till Friday they open at 6am eastern standard time, and trust me I will be calling at 6:00:01. I demand it before noon. And if they tell me Monday when I am back at work, when my wife is home alone again they can send me to guys to bring it in, and into basement and set it up free of charge.
