VANN'S RULES! With so many on line vendors in the world, especially in the consumer electronics industry, you have to be VERY careful who you choose to do business with. The lowest price on a TV sometimes comes with really POOR customer service, or questionable shipping and business practices.
I can tell you first hand that VANN'S should be what all those other stores aspire to. VANN'S SHINES ABOVE ALL THE OTHERS, and still manages to offer competitive prices with free shipping. I purchased a Samsung LN-T4061F at Vann's on 5/10/08, and spoke with a very friendly and helpful customer service rep, who was patient and knowledgeable about the TV. Having read all sorts of horror stories about other online vendors, I had to ask several paranoid questions about questionable business practices, and evasive maneuvers by salespeople to bait and switch larger TV's when the one I want isn't "in stock"... but the rep explained the entire sales/shipping/return process to me, and assured me that none of that would happen here. He was right. And not only that, the trucking company called me the morning of the delivery to ask if I would need help carrying it inside (even though it was curbside shipping). They showed up on time that same day. I received the TV (the CORRECT TV) on 5/16/08 in perfect condition, and it works great. We love it.
I originally called Pricemad (waited forever on hold), Projector Export (rude reps), read a bunch of what were clearly BOGUS positive reviews written by employees of those companies. I got disgusted, and was all ready to spend $700 more at BestBuy, but finally found Vann's in the nick of time. I was expecting the worst, but got the best. I'm telling ya - Don't waste your time with these other fly by night shops with NY attitudes.... read the other reviews of Vann's here before you shop if you don't believe this one. This place RULES.
