After some research, I ordered an Onkyo HTSP 904 Home Theater with their AS240B speaker stands. The purchase experience was very satisfactory. They shipped quickly, and a week later I had my system. Then the problems started. One of the speaker stands was defective. I contacted Vanns and was told they were out of stock and I should not ship the defective stands until they were back in. They said I would be notified when they came in. Over a week later I contacted them again and found out they were back in stock. I then got an RMA# from Vanns and returned the defective stands. Per the tracking information from the shipping company, Vanns received them over a week ago. I have sent several emails trying to find out when they would ship. I have made phone calls. The last time I was told I would be transferred to a manager. I was quite surprised when I was actually transferred to the manager's voice mail, and am still waiting a return call. The purchasing was easy. Their customer service after the sale has been less than satisfactory. If I ordered and paid for a new set of stands they would ship within 24 hours. For it to take over a week after receipt of the defective merchandise for them to ship (assuming they do at some point)is a very poor business practice.
