I placed an order on-line. My Pay Pal payment went through but my order did not. I e-mailed four times to explain the situation and find out what I had to do to complete the order but received no response. I e-mailed a fifth time, (since they don't have a phone number) and asked for a refund. The next day I received an e-mail saying my order had been processed and I should receive it within two days. They cited ongoing server problems...Not good!
By this time, three weeks later... I did not want the glasses....but the cost of returning them was not worth it.
Overall, I found the customer service to be completely unacceptable. If you're going to do business, you need a phone.

I have been looking for a new pair of glasses, and found exactly what I was looking for at nearly 30% of the price I had expected to pay at an optician here in Norway. Customer service was excellent and let me have my glasses delivered to my office address within a few days. Without having to pay any local taxes. I like it.

At the beginning, i thought i had to dead with a very good online store. Yet my thoughts were never reality. I had ordered a product wich was not on stock, thus i had to wait for the product to come from the manufacturer (the distances are from and to Italy, not from a foreign country, thus explaining the delay. Still after 15days from my order, my credit card is charged with the amount the sunglasses i ordered cost, yet my order hasn't arrived from the manufacturer to Unitedshades. The customer support is awful. In the beginning, first 2-3 mails she was friendly(Susana Hurtado) and convinced me she would do anything for me to get my sunglasses on time, although everyone is on vacation, something which i consider very silly, a whole factory of Armani and it's order desk closed for 15days? How stupid should i be to believe it? After the 3rd mail the response i got was very cold and angry, the reply follows: "Dear ***, we are in Italy and August is not a month for assure nothing! All here, in ROme, is closed, the Italian people is in holidays... but the armani supplier is open, I will control your order, OK? Have a nice week-end." This one is the last reply i received from their customer support at 20th of August, i've sent 2mails more for which i never received a reply. I hope they will change their attitude towards me, because i don't think it is right to treat a customer like that.

One of the best shopping experiences I've had. The site is easy to use, the service was excellent, the merchandise arrived on time and the price was much less than traditional stores. email notifications were received letting me know the order was received, when it would be shipped and then when it was shipped. I would shop here again and I've recommended the site to friends and family without hesitation.

Great merchant. They e-mailed to confirm my order quantity before shipping which was accidentally for 7 pairs of sunglasses instead of one. Great customer service, and order came right on time. Definitely shopping with them again.

My delivery was unnacceptably late. I misunderstood the inbuilt delay of 1 week before the order was shipped and the Fedex deliver took 4 working days instead of 1. Because of not being able to see the glasses before purchase, one of the two pairs that I bought was wrong and I will now lose money in having to Fedex them back to United Shades. If the Fedex deal included the option to return in such circumstances, then it would be reasonable.

Overall very easy to shop with...shipping from Italy to the US was faster than almost any experiance ive had within the US...i suggest trying on the sunglasses before you purchase them as i was not satisfied with the frame size, but this has nothing to do with the quality of the merchant

I've ordered a Ray-Ban RB3183 which seemed to be in stock. And guess what, yes it was in stock! Even though I'm shopping on internet for a while, I still suspect before buying, especially after reading the reviews which seem suspectful. Anyway, I've ordered from CA,USA on 5/21 and the sunglasses showed up on 5/27. So far everything is normal and that was a good deal. I don't know what else to say but I'm writing this review for buyers like me. Last words to define the experience, good deal, fast shipping no scum. By the way I'm not being paid to write this review. (And I gave Excellent for Customer Service but in fact I've never had to contact with them so you may ignore that..)

The delivery was dalayed little bit, but it was ok. I wanted to receive before my travel. But when I tried to contact, I couldn't find phone number. E-mailed request was not answered. Of course I received product later, but customer should know what is going on. If you improve promptness on responding customer, it will be perfect.

I think the site is very user friendly ,they have a lot of brand choices and they have customer service available but the sunglasses i ordered were supossed to be in stock (that's why i chose them) and now they say they don't and that they are waiting to receive them from manuf.That was almost 2 weeks ago.

I ought to tell people about how great it was to buy myself a pair of sunglasses at unitedshades.com. Not only the easy navigation allowed me to browse quickly between a vast selection of sunglasses, the order form was straightforward and hassle-free. A couple of days after I had my original pair of Ray-Bans delivered via courier straight to my flat here in London. Of course it only took me a couple of days to break one of the arms (dancing!). I went back to the site to see if there was another pair available and I was immensely relived when I was told by the very nice customer support people that they were going to ship a raplacement arm for free. Now, that's top service to me!!!

The stock arrive all the way in less than 1 week with Fedex also doing a brilliant job with the online tracking. Customs here did not charge duty either. A great shopping experience if not the best on line experience I have had. Their customer support was also very timely and accurate.
