Too much salesmanship instead of customer service. I ordered my camera with free shipping then was called and told I had to pay 16 dollars for shipping. False Advertising!!! I am filing a report against them with the Better Business Bureau. The salesman also tried to con me into buying a battery for $50 that the camera came with in the first place! Then pushed me to give him $200 for a warranty that the camera comes with. This company is a bunch of crooks.

I paid for 3 day shipping on a monday and received it on friday. They waited two days and then called me to try and sell me over priced accessories that I did not want. After that they charged my credit card and started the shipping process. So after all is said and done I did receive it.

I researched the lens I wanted through several venders. I called your sales department with questions about the product because the item description was very mininum on the web site. While taking a BRIEF moment to consider the purchae the sales rep exclaimed "this line is for ordering" and disconnected. Although he hung up on me I continued to make the purchase online. I then received an email requesting me to call in to verify my order upon which the sales rep tried to upsale me saying I needed to upgrade my lens for $100. more or it wouldn't work on my digital camera eventhough your listing showed its model# with a "DG"(digital). Again I fully researched my purchase beforehand threw MANY other venders and Sigma as well. And no one else showed two different options for this lens. I also own 3 sigma lenses already and never had someone try to sell me some kind of upgrade.

I tried to bought a camera with us1 and payed an extra charge to be delivered between 4 to 6 days, after a couple of days the charge was not made to the credit card and I did not received any call or email from the company. I talked to the company and the person who answered me told he was too busy and that if I could talk to him later which was not acceptable, he was unable to help me and then he passs me with another guy who told me there were having problems with american express cards so he would need me to pay with another one. they never told me this, if I wouldn´t call I wouln´t knew this so I finally decided to cancel my order and to buy the camera in another store.

The price was excellent. Shipping was much faster that advertised. Shipping was delayed however because US1Camera insisted on confirming my order by phone. They left a voice message and it took me several days to get a live person on their end. The product arrived in a brown box instead of the product box. I do not recall being advised with this when I ordered it.

Did not know insurance was required when ordering. The insurance does not protect me it protects US 1 Camera. They will receive the money from the shipper if the article is lost or damaged in shipping. US 1 Camera should pay for the insurance not the customer. Will consider the price of the insurance next time when researching the cost of the item on the internet.

After entering our credit card info. on the website, a customer rep. called and said that they didn't accept american express. Hmmmm....that's odd. So why would they have the option to select it when paying? The representative wanted another credit card number, so I got his number and told him I'd call back. The call is what actually prompted my researching us1Photo/us1Camera. After reading several bad reviews, I called back and canceled the order. So I don't really have any experience with us1photo/us1camera to rate them fairly. However, I can say that PCNation had EXCELLENT service with free 3-day FedEx shipping.

The status of my order and the availability was very unclear and there was unexpected extra cost requests e.g. "handling costs". I usually purchase cameras and camcorders from Buydig.com or Amazon.com. I was searching for a deal for Canon XSI DSLR and found that US1Camera.com had the best deal. Their purchase process was very straightforward and the user reviews are very good too.
After I purchased the item, I got a call from James in their customer support first thing in the next morning to confirm my billing information (I must have accidentally entered the wrong zipcode). I called in to get the complimentary express shipping on a camcorder as claimed on their website and the rude salesman who answered the phone wanted to charge me $500 for what he claimed was shipping and handling.
When noting that the website said the express shipping was free if you called in, he replied that's for 7 to 9 business days (which is instead what the website calls regular shipping) and even that doesn't include insurance and other handling expenses.He then tried to explain why you need those extra expenses when purchasing a high-end camcorder rather than explaining the inconsistencies with the pricing on the site, and would not listen to me, so I just left it at that point. It sounds like from the other reviews that if you place an order online first they need to talk to you over the phone to 'confirm' your order anyway. Beware. |

I ordered the camera package that I wanted, but before they would ship it, they talked me into purchasing a higher priced package that contained some things that I really didn't want and probably will not use. I felt pressured into agreeing to buy it. I might buy from them again, but with reservations to purchase only the items I wanted and nothing extra. I tried to return the protection plan that is not from the camera maker, but the rep kept telling me that I had to have it. Sounded like he wanted me to believe that the camera was just waiting to break. I've used the camera that I bought for over a month now, and it works great.

These guys are terrible, they try to up sell you with extras you do not require and try to make you feel like you are getting a deal.
I was short changed when I returned something and good luck getting through to their customer services department. Expect a 40-50min wait on the phone and then average service I was promised the difference in my refund and this has still not happened after 3 weeks What ever happened to good old fashioned customer service! |
