Good enough

Bought Hitachi 65f59A at US appliance after reading reviews, so I was prepared for a slow process, with no hand-holding. They did bill my card immediately without so much as an invoice, which made me nervous, but NONE of the reviews indicated they were shady, just slow and uncommunicative, so I waited patiently and tried not to worry. Long story short, it took 5-6 weeks and no contact from US appliance, but I have a great TV at the best price I could find. If you need to be coddled every step, look elsewhere. If you want to save money, These guys are OK.

GOOD EXPERIENCE

Very detailed, well organized website. Very good prices. Read mixed reviews of this retailer. Cautiously ordered four high-end appliances including Jenn-Air double oven, hood and cooktop, and Bosch dishwasher. Delivered in three weeks, as promised, in perfect condition. Deliverymen unpacked and brought the items into house, as requested. Overall a very good experience and saved over $1,000 total.

Misleading inventory and shipping information

Ordered item that was "in stock." Credit card charged immediately. 10 days went by and no email notice of shipping. Called, told item would be shipped the next day. 2 days later, no email notice of shipping. Called again, told item would ship the next day. 2 days later, no email notice of shipping. Called 2-3 days later, told item would ship that day. Requested refund, saw no reason to wait any longer or trust them any further. Charged 15% restocking fee. Not happy about paying restocking fee based on delays and misleading information, but happy to discontinue my business with this company.

Among my worse online experiences. Took a long time to ship (should have been up to 3 weeks, which is long anyway and ended up being 4,5) and another 4,5 weeks to be delivered. The delivery company is extremely slow and act as if they are doing you a favor. It is true, the your card is charged (way) before they ship the article. I never got an official confirmation when my purchase was shipped and had to inquire periodically. There was no communication on their part whatsoever.
Price of the article was good, but I ended up seeing lower prices in the 2 months while I was waiting for the delivery. The product works though and I felt relieved and happy to receive it in good condition after reading the reviews. Would not purchase again. Overall, a bad retailer teamed up with a bad delivery company. |

Order accuracy: accurate customer service: The worst overall satisfaction: definitely not satisfied. We placed a large order (over $3000) for two appliances. They gave us a delivery date which came and went. We called, one item on backorder was the reply. So send us our one appliance that is in stock. Many calls and broken promises later the thing finally came, falling out of the box, dented. YES DENTED! I heard nightmarish stories about this company so I decided to put the dented cooktop in my newly renovated kitchen rather than have a heart attack. There was no way I was going to pay a %15 restocking fee and send the thing back and go thru this all over again. You get my drift. |

I am now going on the 13th day of a refrigerator being in the middle of my hallway. To add insult to injury, this company which refused to remove the doors of the fridge to get it in the apartment is going to try and charge me a 15% restocking fee. So much for their so-called white-glove delivery. I've spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. If you speak with Stephany, don't believe a word of what she says!! She is the biggest liar on the face of the planet. The only good thing about this whole experience is that the credit card company conference called US appliance and has them on record as claiming that they should have picked up the fridge last week. The credit card company has also advised me that based on the claimed advertising, of US Appliance they will credit my account the 15% restocking fee that these jerks tried to charge me. IF YOU'RE SMART, YOU WILL STAY AWAY....VERY FAR AWAY.

There seems to be a bait and switch scam going on with this company. I was looking for an LG LRFC25750 refrigerator and it came back with a price of $1,449. BUT, when I went to the site, the price was for an LG LRFC22750 (a smaller refrigerator). The one I wanted was $1,549 plus an additional $200 for titanium. Doesn't seem honest to me. I can get it cheaper locally and not worry about being cheated.

They charge your credit card BEFORE they ship the product, then they want a 15% return charge if you cancel the order! What a rip off! If they stated this policy clearly I wouldn't feel so cheated, but they do not state this policy anywhere (10/20/04). Don't be fooled by their Better Business Bureau logo - stay away!

Just received our washer on Friday. Delivery was within the prescribed time frame. Tracking was flawless and easy to do. The delivery was perfect and the machine is everything we imagined and more. We highly recommend US Appliance, they are easy to work with, they responded quickly to our questions/e-mails and they beat all prices we could find. We will do business with US Appliance again for sure!

Hmmmm, I get the impression that they are con artists!!!! They come up on Eopinions.com as selling a Sharp Microwave convection oven Model R-1871 for $369. However, when you hit "buy it" you are taken to a page for a Sharp R-1750 for $369 this is NOT THE SAME MODEL!!! In fact, it is not a convection/microwave.
If you find the R-1871 on their site it is $499 not $369. Seems like the old "bait and switch" to me. WHAT A SCAM!!! I will certainly never buy from them. |

My wife and I bought a Fischer & Paykel washer and dryer from US Appliance. We saved over $125, roughly 10% by buying online. The products were delivered within 2-3 weeks without a problem. We are very satisfied with the savings and the service received from US Appliance.

I called to ask if they were aware that their shipping charges are understated on shopping.com and they told me they have been trying to get deal time to correct this problem for over a year.
I find this hard to believe and misleading. Obviously from other reviews us appliance knows this is a problem. I do not believe in doing business with a company that is not honest upfront. How can you expect them to be there when there is a problem in the future. I asked dealtime and they told me that any company can change their information in 24 hours or less. It sounds like US appliance is trying to slip one past us. Watch for your shipping cost on checkout. It could be higher than what they advertise and they will not honor the lower price. Also, one of the items I was interested in purchasing form them was a Thermador oven that they had priced lower than everyone. I noticed that in the checkout cart it was a different and not as good oven. Be careful with this company. Buyer beware. |

US-Appliance has a nice website, but they overcharge you for shipping compared to what they state in the comparison website.
Do not know if this is an attempt to get more money out of the consumer or an oversight on their part, but hopefully they will correct it. Ended up buying the dishwasher from another website. US-Appliance emailed me that this was their new shipping charge and they have been trying to get Dealtime to update the shipping information for a year now. Find this hard to believe. Sounds like they are trying to pull a fast one on consumers that do not look at the shipping charges. Robert |
