We purchased a stainless griddle from US appliance which did not fit our stovetop.  We returned the item via UPS to US appliance stating that the item did not fit the cooktop and requested a refund.  We received a call / email from their customer service that they considered the item used (even though it had not been used as it didn't fit our cooktop.  We applied light coating of oil as prescribed by the warranty booklet before placing on the cooktop).  US appliance indicated that I could have someone pickup the griddle or it would be discarded in 30 days.  Absolutely terrible customer service from a firm that won't stand behind it's products.  I consider this firm a fraudulent operation and have advised my bank to code them as such. If considering purchase from this merchant please review other epinions.com users comments about them.  I surely wish I would have availed myself of this service but it appears that I am not the first one who has been scammed by them.  Purchase your appliances for a little more money from a local dealer where you can verify that they are reputable and make sure they will stand by their product.  I have had many successful web transactions with unknown merchants but this experience has given me pause to do so in the future (without the proper research on the merchant)
