I was attracted to TravelCountry because of the rock bottom price they offered on the sleeping bag I wanted ... less than half price. I ordered it, then I stumbled across the Epinions reviews slamming them for bad customer service. I got a little worried.

The box showed up on time though, and the correct sleeping bag was inside. So no complaints!

Other customers' experience notwithstanding, I got what I wanted from TravelCountry and if the price is right, would use them again.

HORRIBLE!!! The products on their website do not reflect the products in their stock. I attempted to purchase shoes for my daughter, which their website showed, they had only one pair left in her size. I called asking when I could expect the order to ship, only to receive an email stating the order was cancelled because they 'were still looking for the item'. I was offered '30% off of your next regularly priced, similar gear purchase', which I thought was a load of crap. Thanks for my waste of time and their lack of resources to make sure they have up to date information.

Travel country has great prices and i have shoped there several times before this experance. I always have had great survice that is why i keep shoping from them. But when i recieved my order this time. It was not my order. That was july 13th 'ish. Then just yesterday (7/21) i got an email from them, finaly. And before i was on a family trip in wyo. and has the order shiped there and now i am at my home in oregon so it will ne intresting to see if i get my order at my home like i asked them to do in my email's.

I was able to communicate with TravelCountry.com easily and received prompt updates on the delivery of the items I purchased. My only problem involved the purchase of two sleeping bags - although I ordered them nearly 8 weeks before my trip, I had to cancel their order because the delivery date was delayed. i recently tried ordering a jacket from your website and never heard anything for 3 weeks after, then i decided to call to later find out that you dont even carry it in the color that you had on the website. nobody even tried to notify me, i had to call you. Very disappointed.

Everything worked without a hitch. I returned my first purchase and tried a similar item. I got an e-mail acknowledgement of the refund quickly, but haven't gotten the credit card statement yet to see if it went through. All the products arrived in good condition.

Travel Country's website moves at a snail's pace. I placed a very simple order that took about a half-hour longer than it should have because of the slow website. There was a problem with my credit card that caused by order to not go through. I called my credit card company and straightened out the problem, then spent another half-hour placing the order again. This time the order went through OK. The next day I received an email from TravelCountry indicating that the product I ordered was not in stock and they would not be receiving more. This despite the fact that their website indicated that they had plenty in stock! I will never do business with them again!
